Staffan I also believe they'll open with Sympathy.

stonedinaustralia despite the opening lines of the song, which make it a cute choice for the introduction, i don't think sympathy will get the opening spot for a couple of reasons unless they play a truncated version

opening songs are generally ones suited to helping the sound guy(s)(and that includes the band) pull the sound together quickly (sound check or not)... you want a song that is fairly tight in the sense that it is straight-forward sound wise and also not too long time wise

imho, from a musical point of view, a good version of sympathy would have quite a lot of sound/dynamic variations and for a real blow out you want everybody - the band and the audience- well warmed up... to expect them to come out cold and play a slayer take on sympathy is a pretty big ask (again imho)

a good opener would be punchy and straight to the point

still, i could be wrong and i look forward to hearing it if i am

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
