It's pretty damn good. They went back to The Blood sugar Sex Magic house to record this one, and it's got the same feel. I like it better than the last two. I've been a RHCP's fan since I first heard them all those years ago. They put the funk in punk.

Dan I just got:

Charley Horse - Unholy Roller
Throw Rag - 13 Feet And Rising
a Hanoi Rocks boot and a Michael Monroe solo boot. I can't wait to get home.

stonedinaustralia friend of mine gave me the boot of the recent Melbourne show

version of WAY is great to execellent

the stuff up of Brown Sugar is a trainwreck of major proportions...seems to me it was Chuck's fault, he went to the verse too early and Jagger followed him without hesitation (and it wouldn't surprise me that's all he listens to apart from his own foldback)...for a few bars it sounds like no one is listenting to anybody else and no one has a clue what's going on -it really is an hilarious mess and if it weren't for the vocals you'd be hard pressed to work out what song they are playing... but they pull it back together eventually and finish strongly

Sway live is, while not disappointing, a little underwhelming - the menace of the recorded version having been mellowed out a bit not least because it lacks the one ingredient of the stones' sound that has been missing for many years...the sound that (imho) really gave the stones' sound its edge...keith's backing vocals
