Yes , a wonderful French Film ( circa 1967 ) -- One of me favorites .
That was France's way of telling the United States NOT to use nuclear weapons against North Vietnam ( the ONLY way the United States could have won that war ) .

I saw Ben Hur when it first came out in '59. I was 7, and we went to Hollywood and saw it in "Cinerama". Amazing! That chariot race on that huge screen.....my Dad kept trying to cover my eyes. lol But boy, do I still remember it.
SO SAD that there are so few Hollywood legends left. Nowadays, so many are just celebrities, not great actors. There will never be another Golden Age.

I agree Sioux. Most of the greats from the 40's and 50's are gone. It really won't be too long before those we've cherished from the last 30 years are goners as well. Who is there to take the place of the Robert Deniro's and Harrison Fords of this world? I shouldn't be such a pesemist. There is, after all, the new Indiana Jones to look forward too.

Anyone remember his performance in Airport '75?
That whole airport series made me say that if I ever saw George Kennedy get on the same plane as me, I was getting off.

I know what you mean. I was so sad when John Holmes croaked.
What's going to happen to Heston's rug? It seemed to have a life support system of its own.
Politics aside, good on him for making 3 very left leaning movies.
Apes
Omega Man

P.S. Mmmmm, Soylent Green!

I loved Charlton Heston. He may have been my favorite actor ever. I loved him especially in Ben Hur.
