Riffhard What with St. Patty's Day right around the corner this one seemed appropriate. It's true. Shawn McGowan has the worst teeth, largest ears in the bussiness.

Christ almighty, thats a blast from the past. I remember watching that performance on some long forgotten black music show on BBC 2 about 20 years ago. He did a long interview and about 4 songs. I have the whole thing on some old Betamax tape somewhere in my attic.

Yeah, I saw it once a long time ago as well. I'm pretty sure its the same show he played 110th street and California Dreaming. Those vids are now gone from youtube it seems.

Hey Megan, I just may be Mick jagger's biggest nutjob fan, but the guy does do things that make some of us wince at times. F'rinstance, the other Don't Look Back vid just screams "who's the geeky white boy?"

OK.... I must admit occasionally at "those times" I do close my eyes and ask why..

Too true Moonie, but at least we got Nickelback and Incubus!

Geeesh! Is there any hope?

I don't give a shit what anyone says. There has not been a band since The Clash that could carry their jock strap! Jack White? Sure he's pretty good, but he ain't The Clash. They don't make bands like The Clash anymore. That's a damned shame!

Would you really put nickelback in the same boat as incubus?

Incubus is a very talented band that has written some great songs.

Nickelback is just crap.

Oh I agree Incubus is certainly better than Nickelback, but having said that, neither of those two bands are anywhere near as good as The Clash. Incubus is admittedly much much better than those putzes in Nickelback. Still they are way way way behind The Clash. Nobody on the scene today is even close to The Clash.

Its very frustrating being a fan of his. Quite a gifted fella. He could shine all the time if he got his act together.

I just like his music, despite that he's an asshole... I'll give him this, no matter how fucked up he is, he works alot... He's not one of those who wastes the effects of the drugs, he puts them to good use for us!
26th February 2007 06:29 PM
Saint Sway heres a clip of the last time I saw him play. He does "Rescue Blues" and then prompltly walks off stage, ending the show way early because of the hecklers.

yes, hecklers suck. Big time. But so does seeing half a show.

Ryan is one of my favorite artists but he's a train wreck of a person and the cancelled shows and breakdowns are a real let down. Makes it hard to stay a fan. I do love the music though.

heres the clip
