Maxlugar Because Can't You Hear me Knockin' was played this tour, they are now one Sway away from completing Sticky Fingers live. Who would have thought that the last few tours whould give us Moonlight Mile, Sister Morphine and I Got the Blues! I never thought my favorite album would come this close to being completed.

It got me wondering if anyone is keeping track (Gazza?) of songs per album the Stones have left to play live.

I think they have done all of Let It Bleed, Some Girls and Black and Blue.

I'm not sure of the early albums.

So there is a nice project for someone bored today.

MACKY!

Boomhauer Max, were you hoping for the "Dirty Work Tour" to happen back in '86?

I mean, then they would have played some of those great selections (Had It with you, dirty work, hold back).

8 left from DW
6 left from ER

That's my part!!!

Good link here, Max!!!

Maxlugar WOW. And it looks updated.

Thanks.

Nellcote Boom,

Thanks for the link to that site! It is great. At Gillette, they made the B Stage the album side, which was Some Girls. I wish they'd reposition the B to the center of the show, highlighting some album or another. There again, just this fanatic ranting on about what should be done to pacify the diehards vs. Michael Cohl telling Mick he needs to stick to the Warhorses.
02-28-03 09:02 AM
Factory Girl Thank you Boomie for the link.
02-28-03 09:04 AM
steel driving hammer Where'd you find that link Boomy? Nice!

People call me a dresser, I wear my sports clothes way too loud...
02-28-03 09:18 AM
steel driving hammer Oh Oh Boomy, I have a 73 boot of them doing Winter and
Can Your Hear the Music but it's a rehearsal.

Sometimes you're feelin' you've been pushed around,
And your rainbow just ain't here, don't you fear,
DON'T CHA FEEAAAAAH!!!

Is true last week on Alias Charlie Watts was mentioned?
Some to the line about "He's as steady as Charlie Watts"

Steelie Maxy will bust a nut when he sees the Jennifer
Garner post. Watchout everyone.
02-28-03 09:38 AM
Factory Girl Do you guys really think that J.Garner is sexier than Pam Anderson or Carmen Electra?
J. Garner is so "freshly scrubbed" looking. But, hey, knock yourselves out.

Another topic-anyone notice that Johnny Depp these days is looking like Keith circa 1972. Depp is sporting eyeliner and long hair (for a pirate movie). I think he looks simply decadent...Anyone else agree?
02-28-03 09:59 AM
gypsy Keith bought the rights to the book "Hickory Wind," about Gram Parsons. Johnny Depp is said to be playing the role of Gram Parsons in the upcoming film. Which I think is weird, cuz Gram was tall and skinny with blue eyes. And Johnny looks nothing like Gram. I thought of an actor the other day who I thought would make a good Gram, and now I can't remember. I'm tired from working all night. Just waiting for the valium and tylenol pm to kick in.

Boomhauer It was no problem at all, my friends.

Personally, I think that site is pretty cool.

But better than RO....naaaaaaaaaah.

glencar "Alias"? I might have to check out that show...
02-28-03 10:40 AM
glencar I noticed from that link how little they've played from Voodoo Lounge. And I'm surprised "Coming Down Again" was never performed live.
02-28-03 10:42 AM
jb I've been listenng to GHS this week...With the possible exception of "Hide you love", the album is a classic.

Joey " I thought of an actor the other day who I thought would make a good Gram, and now I can't remember. I'm tired from working all night. Just waiting for the valium and tylenol pm to kick in. "

That actors name is none other than the legendary Lawrence Hagman !

02-28-03 12:41 PM
Maxlugar Speaking of old material.........
02-28-03 12:46 PM
jb She is featured in this months GQ...Max, why are you not talking to me?
02-28-03 12:52 PM
steel driving hammer Joey! I see it now!

You ALWAYS quote other people!

The only thing that is yours is that "Nam" - "I lost my Chiba" - and "My Dresser Drawer"

Thats it little buddy!

Stick that Nebraska Corn Cob up your white hairy Ass Ronnie!!!

May the good lord shine some new materal for you!

You make every post you sing, from someone elses tune...
02-28-03 12:57 PM
Maxlugar 'Nam is Howard Sterns bit. So that's even one less.

Josh! I'm taking to you again.

I was hurt by your anti-C10 remarks. But it's Friday and I'm happy. So how are you doing? Did you see Fang's unprovoked attack on me? That guy loves his Mr. Rogers! It is sad that anyone would take that post I did at Gasland seriously. Yeah, I'm against "love" and "encouragement" for kids.

Tongue in cheek baby, that's all.

02-28-03 01:00 PM
jb Regrettably, Moonies ZOG post has forever ended our friendship as well. As for the C10, it was simply done in fun in an attempt to stimulate the board, which, had grown a bit stale.

theyve also played "The Worst" of course plus the b-side from that era "Jump on top of me" at the Paradiso club gig in may 1995

to answer Maxy's question - the only Stones albums where every song has been performed live are : Let It Bleed (Country Honk was played for about a minute at knebworth'76), Black and Blue and Some Girls...and "Out Of Our Heads" (the US version only - NOT the UK version)

If you check out the setlists page on this site on:
http://www.albec.net.mx/personales/rocksoff/gazzassetlists.htm

you'll see a page for "debuts and last appearances" which lists every officially released Stones song in chronological order and the date (where known) that they were performed for the first time and their most recent performance. Unfortunately I had this updated to include the 2002 stats, but my pc crashed before we uploaded it so I'll have to research it again (maybe a week or so) - however the 2002 tour setlists are there so you should be able to see the notes below the setlists giving the appropriate info on debuted songs and songs which hadnt been played in several years prior to that tour.
