In theory at least, you should be able to get the best ones that are available with those
There cant be many people left with pre May 9 codes and of those that have, I'd imagine there are very few who will be going to the Aussie shows
If you have a broadband connection and cant get something dead centre in the first few rows with that, then theres dirty work afoot! |

you should now apply for a refund for the US code, presuming you wont be using it
If you are going to register for the Aussie shows, I'd recommend you do it now, rather than just before the shows go on sale. That way you can ensure you have your pre-sale code heldo on your account details in good time in case theres any cock-ups (I missed out on the presale for Wembley #1 because of one..)
Wait a minute? So I got my memebrship before the tour was announced. and I didnt use my passcode on the US tour. Does that mean I have to join the fan club again. get a new passcode and fork out another US$100. |

I am not bothering about Melbourne. Tickets will be gone in seconds. Sydney for me. Gonna cost me nearly $2,000 (4 airfares, accom, meals, booze), but what the hell.

If you have a pre-May 10 passcode its probably OK...otherwise, the one bought after that date is probably just for the US tour |

With a bit of luck I'll be going to both. I'll use my membership for Melb and my cousin will use his for Sydney.
I just have to wait now for the pre sale to start and hopefully get the tickets.....thats gonna be the hard part, I wont be happy until the deal is done.
When I found out the news this morning I actually started crying, these endless months of waiting had taken its toll on me.
I cant wait.....I really hope to meet a few of u cats at the gigs. |

I'm taking my chances on Melbourne also. I think most aussies planning outside of Melbourne who are planning on travelling interstate to see the Stones will look at going to Sydney because they will think they have a better chance of securing a decent seat at Telstra Stadium because it holds a lot more people. That and also the fact that accommodation is already going to be a problem in Vico coz the town will be booked out with the C/Wealth games happening at the same time. I worked on a similar theory when i rang thru for my Enmore tix 3 years ago. I reckon most people who rang to book tickets for the Sydney shows on the Licks tour went straight for the Superdome tix rather than the Enmore ones. I got thru and got 2 tix to the Enmore after getting the engaged tone solidly for about 20 minutes, I was majorly stressed that day.
To hell with the RS.com thing too - what a rip-off. I'm going to take a punt on the visa pre-sale system. At the end of the day I'll just be happy to get a ticket. Gotta work out how I'm going to get Melbourne now.
StonedinAustralia, Corgi & co - would be cool to meet up somewhere for a beer before the event if you are keen. |

I'm just so glad for you Aussie's and NZ's! Too bad they left it in the air so long, but at least your hard-earned money won't generate too much interest in those greedy Stones' bank accounts... |

I don't know angie. australia is a very cheap country,
and i'm sure the boys can get a good deal on hotels/food/rental cars /surf lessons.
(and Mick knows how to use internet)
So i think there will be plenty left over to put in the piggie bank |

I've changed my mind about Sydney... Well actually my best mate has convinced me Sydney is the way to go. My dilemma is do i book my airfares now or wait until after the pre-sale? I'm still thinking about going thru the visa pre-sale btw, but out of curiosity what is rs.com slugging for membership these days (in australian dollars) & what is the ticket purchase limit? I may be convinced to go quarters in a membership if I can be guaranteed that we can get tix for 4 people. Does the membership get activated straight away? Last time i went halves in a membership and from memory it cost about $100 aus. each.
The stress & excitement of it all is getting to me. I'm not gonna sleep for the rest of the week i know it.

membership is US$100 for a year - not sure what that is in Aussie dollars
your membership is activated right away and you'll be issued with a presale passcode
You can buy up to four tickets in a presale for one show only. So, if youre getting 4 great seats, split the cost with 3 other people at US$25 each
If you want to use the presale for more than one show, you'll need to take out an additional membership
If you dont use your presale code, you can get a full refund on your membership. |
