Joey " I advise little young Joey to stay away from Petey. "

You make Joey sad .

" I think I was Noltied in my infancy. I need to check on some things. "

You might have been " Noltied " in your infancy , but at least you were not sent to the ' Nam in your infancy ..........now look at your young Joey , a mental defective with a " Baba Complex " and a permanent smile on his face ........................go figure .

Now , if you all will excuse me , I have just peed my pants again .

Miss U. You're right, Sasca.

The difference is those Stones pics were contrived to give a nasty image, shocking as they are. It's not reality. Definitely not politically correct.

It's sad about Pete, but it *is* good to hear so many arrests are being made with all the sickos out there, for the sake of the children.

I believe MaKenzie Phillips was a whopping THIRTEEN when Mick (allegedy) boinked her. Funny how that gets glossed over....

http://www.suprmchaos.com/bcEnt-Sun-100701.index.html

Mackenzie Phillips, daughter of "Papa" John, was 18 when Mick Jagger had sex with her while her father banged on the door begging his pal Jagger to be gentle.

Phillips recalls the incident in a story on the offspring of '60s rock stars in the November issue of Vanity Fair. Phillips recalls that one day she and her dad were at Mick's house when Papa John went to the store.

"Mick turned around and locked the door and looked at me, and said, 'I've been waiting to do this since you were 10 years old,' " Phillips tells Vanity Fair. "My dad is banging on the door, 'Mick, be nice to her! Don't hurt her.' And I'm going, 'Dad, leave us alone. It's fine.' And we slept together."

The same year, Papa John introduced Mackenzie to intravenous cocaine, and even shot her up himself the first time, over Jagger's protests. Her younger sister Bijou started doing drugs in her teens as well.

Didn't they condone it? I wonder. Mick and Keith have always liked flirting with evil. It's said that they convinced themselves of a stranger's innocence in the Redlands raid by having him beaten up while asking him to confess. He didn't. There they were, spouting love and peace and meanwhile behaving like mediaeval Lords torturing their peasants. If the story is true.
Later they forgot about love and peace. Wasn't there an advert for Black and Blue featuring a beaten woman saying 'wouldn't you like to be beaten Black and Blue by the Stones?' Something like that. No better than the above images.

SAS, your precious Bri' actually posed for that NAZI shot. As for The Black& Blue poster, well as Mick once said, "If you can't take a fucking joke, that's too fucking bad!"....The Peelhart Nazi painting is a totaly different thing.

Maxlugar Please don't equate Bill Wyman and Mick Jagger with that filthy, kiddie lovin' sicko Pete Townsend.

Rags Many of Pete's family, friends, and fans are speaking out on his behalf. We believe that his intentions were good and feel he deserves a fair report of the facts. Please read Pete's words...

Pete wrote an article one year ago called, 'A Different Bomb' that states his position against child porn and his support for victims. Fans from the Pete Townshend Forum are sending emails/letters of support with this article attached to the media. Here's a link to the article and follow-up diary entries from Pete:

http://www.hecktow.com/pete.html

Here's Pete's original link to the article (see link above if the server is down on PT.com):

Pass it on..............

Gazza Eye-opening indeed. Many thanks for posting it!
01-19-03 10:28 AM
Rags Thanks Gazza. After all Pete has given us in music, I feel he deserves our support. It's upsetting to see how many people have automatically caved in to media hype without getting the full story. Pete has been involved in Children's charities for over 25 years.

Many celebrities and artists have issues statements on Pete's behalf including Roger Daltrey, Bono, Bowie, Jerry Hall, Blackie Lawless, etc. Jerry mentioned that she and Pete had discussed ways of protecting her children from net porn and Pete advocates installing software such as 'Cyber Patrol.'

Er, gmf60, you misunderstand me. I'm agreeing with you. (Apart from feeling that the Peelhart painting is pretty much the same thing.)

Miss U. gmfo, your precious Anita persuaded a very wasted Brian to do it. Poor judgement on both parts.
01-20-03 03:26 PM
Sir Stonesalot Yeah.

It's never Brian's fault.

There's always an excuse.

I find Brian an interesting fellow. His musical accomplishments speak for themselves.

But I find Brian's flaws to make the man that much MORE interesting. I make no excuses for the man. He had a very ugly, nasty side to him. Big deal. No one is perfect, least of all Brian.

Admitting flaws does not denegrate a person, it's just being honest. Making excuses for them, when no excuses are needed, is degrading.

IMO, anyhow.

Well, yes. But I don´t think Miss U was excusing any flaws. - she has criticised other Brian fans for trying to make a saint of him.
01-20-03 03:40 PM
Sir Stonesalot Good for her.

You'll never make a saint of him.

Her post above was a big excuse. And that wasn't the first one either. I'm sure it won't be the last either.

Well, no. It's what happened. Ask Anita. The fact that some make light of his flaws is no reason to make them seem worse.
01-20-03 06:29 PM
Miss U. The Pete worshippers seem to be trying to blame Brian for Pete's behavior. Doesn't make too much sense....everyone feelin ok here??? Need some meds?
Pete is responsible for his own actions.

I guess Gypsy is unaware that Brian liked Mick. I suppose she thinks Brian would approve of an Anita avatar....Sweet Dreams.

gypsymofo60 Just a thought here, If my girlfriend,(even if she did look like Anita), tried to convince me to wrap a towel around my head, put on a silly beard and, shout Allah is great, as I proceeded to stomp a scale model 747 into the ground, I would think twice about that one. Anita persuaded Brian into it, what bollocks!...And even if that were true, well that just shows how intrinsicly weak the man had to be. And I for one am not at this juncture making any excuses for Uncle Pete, except to say, HE HASN'T BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF ANYTHING AS YET. When he's been officialy charged, arraigned, tried, and been found guilty we will have something to cry about, until then, it's business as usual.

When one puts themselves on offer, up on stage, public property etc, then one must be prepared for people to be even more uncomprimising in their attitudes toward you. Uncle Pete is discovering that one now. The same goes for Brian, his "flaws",(ie: dressing as a Nazi, crushing the head of a childs doll under his boot), are going to be criticised, that's just the way of things. If I was to walk down Electric Avenue wearing a white hood, I would expect to cop a severe kicking at the very least, did Brian think the world would understand that little piece of theatre? You tell me! "FLAWS".....That's not flaws, that's someone whose sense of right and wrong is totaly fucked up, and even his fans should be able to realise that very few people are going to find humour in that type of art.

Yes! He liked Mick so much that when one record company offered Brian a deal on condition that they offload Jagger, he was prepared to take it, not that I necessarily think that's out of order in the cut & thrust of THE ROCK WORLD, but just thought I'd drop that in for good measure, what the hell?
01-21-03 01:21 AM
waldheim A number of posters here seem to forget that Mick or Bill or whoever bedding a 13 year old is not kiddie porn it is actually DOING a kiddie. Although it may be more acceptable to the public, it is all child porn (or worse, in the Stone's cases as they didn't watch it they actually did it) in the eyes of the law. In fact a 17-year-and-364-day old teenager doing the dirty is child porn according to US law and will be reported as such in the newspapers. For all we know at this point Pete may have been poking around after fully developed (and probably sexually active) girls who were also less than 18 years old....and let me see..... that would be FIVE years OLDER than the girl eulogized in the live version of Stray Cat Blues on Ya Ya's, but still the dreaded kiddie porn according to the courts. I don't point this out to pick on the Stones or their fans but only to point out the contradiction between the law and the reality and between the sensationalism of the press and of certain people like some on this thread who "protest too much." As John Lennon said "strange days indeed!"

Maxlugar Does anyone think it's songs like Art Lover by the Kinks that make Petey think Ray Davies is a genius? It's all starting to look clearer to me know.

Take a look.

Art Lover by Ray Davies:

Sunday afternoon there's something special
It's just like another world.
Jogging in the park is my excuse
To look at all the little girls.

I'm not a flasher in a rain coat,
I'm not a dirty old man,
I'm not gonna snatch you from your mother,
I'm an art lover.
Come to daddy,
Ah, come to daddy,
Come to daddy.

Pretty little legs, I want to draw them,
Like a Degas ballerina.
Pure white skin, like porcelain,
She's a work of art and I should know
I'm an art lover.
Come to daddy,
And I'll give you some spangles.

Little girl don't notice me
Watching as she innocently plays.
She can't see me staring at her
Because I'm always wearing shades.
She feeds the ducks, looks at the flowers.
I follow her around for hours and hours.
I'd take her home, but that could never be,
She's just a substitute
For what's been taken from me.
Ah, come to daddy, come on.

Sunday afternoon can't last forever,
Wish I could take you home.
So, come on, give us a smile
Before you vanish out of view.
I've learned to appreciate you
The way art lovers do,
And I only want to look at you.

You see folks, Pete is simply an art lover. Case solved.

Brilliant, Maxwell -- and probably Ray Davies' very best song of the 1980s. Do you have that album "LIVE: THE ROAD"? I love the version of Art Lover on that record.

What about Van Morrison -- didn't he sing a lot about being in love with underages in a load of his songs, not even counting his cover of "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl"?

Is there a doctor in the house?

Does anybody here take medication?

01-21-03 11:10 PM
gypsymofo60 Unless I've been horribly mistaken all these years, isn't 'Stray Cat Blues' about little girls stalking rock/pop stars, rather than vice,(excuse the pun), versa? "I know your no-scareeyed honey!" I don't see how this keeps coming up as an analogy to Uncle Pete's predic'......... Oh! MissU, point one, (bad choices all 'round), yeah! Guess so! but Brian was still a weak minded individual.....point two, unfortunately_ she aint my precious Anita, I wish the Anita of 'Performance' had been though!..love & kisses hon'.

Oh Nasty, no I don't.

Where O where could I get one????? It sure does sound nice. I'd be the happiest man on the board if I could somehow obtain one.....

Why are you so determined to start an argument? Brian was sometimes weak - no-one is denying that. Anita had the idea to pose for the photo and he went along with it. It was wrong on both parts. No-one is denying that. But you should only criticise someone for what they do. So it is reasonable to point out what actually happened. Whether or not they are famous has no bearing on whether a person's actions are right or wrong (a prominent theme at the time of the Redlands trial).
And I don't see why you are implying that my use of the word 'flaws' implies that I do not take the matter seriously. But perhaps you are simply trying to start an argument - your use of Islam suggests this since you know how much I object to bigotry.
As for the Peelhart painting I think we are talking at cross purposes - I meant that the painting itself is much the same thing. Which the Stones may or may not have condoned, thereby involving themselves morally, and which is as much a 'joke' as the Black and Blue poster they did condone. Brian is not standing on the neck of a real person; they did not beat up the model for B+B. They may have had the Redlands stranger beaten up.

Mick and Brian had a very complex relationship.

WTF?....does Islam have to do with this barrel'a fish?........Semantics, semantics, Both are wrong! but Brian actively participated in the Nazi photo with doll. Just because it involved SYMBOLISM, instead of the real thing doesn't lessen it's impact as repugnance. "They MAY,(crucial term that!), have had the Redlands stranger beaten up"...pure conjecture on behalf of some writer, Brian's photo is more like evidence. I've got better things to do than pick a fight with you, it's just that we seem to disagree on Brian, I have nothing against you or Brian, I knew/know neither of you. Still even though I feel Brian wasted himself, and his talent, I still admire him as a musician, always have, always will.
