Just finished this and its a fine read imho.Very introspective and at times brutally honest. Not a lot of witty tales etc one might expect to find in Ronnie or Keiths but a very good account of his life and trials.Highly recommend it to his fans or anyone wanting an insight into the way bands evolved and fell about in 60's through 70's.Fine account of the delibilitating effects of alcohol on his life and career as well.I was always ticked off when I saw him in Buffalo in 74 and he hardly appeared onstage or played at all.The book says thats the night Pattie finally joined him and he was totally re-occupied and loaded with booze more than usual.I've sent in my refund request......... |

The local library has this (and Ronnie) but they are both checked out. I will read them for sure eventually. I love rock star autobiographies.

Yes, it's true.
Apparently, Don still sends her a bouquet of flowers every year on that day. I'm not kidding.

I read one of those books by Heidi Fleiss's girls. They said Henley was a real bastard. He'd do tons of coke, then line up five or six girls and take turns doing them. They said they couldn't wait for him to pass out, so that they could leave.
On the contrary, they claimed Glenn Frey was a great lover and quite a gentleman. |
