Many hugs and kisses to all, and VERY strong thanks to Jaxx, Gazza and Gerardo for keeping this crazy bunch on a Stonesian path, willy-nilly, and without too much bloodshed!

Hope everyone had a great New Year's!
No major Noltes last night...but a lot of idiots...it was horrible. Too much death caused by drunk drivers. |

Happy new Year to all. Gypsy thanks for the heads up about how bad the drunk driving is on New Year's Eve. I haven't gone out in years because of it....thanks for reminding me how real that truly is. God bless you for the job you do.

Best to all though I don't know anyone here too much. I'll always remember 2002 as the year I got backstage at a Stones Show. I hope Y'all have that kinda cool shit happen in your life in the coming year. |

Thanks, Martha. Glad you had a safe New Year's. I was sooo damn tired when I last posted yesterday morning. It's okay for me to tell you why now. A girl was driving with her fiance. They were both drunk. She lost control of the car...her fiance was ejected and died on the scene. The driver was brought in, and I x-rayed her from head to toe. Her blood alcohol was .22. She was crying and asking about her fiance. That is the worst part of this job--knowing if someone's loved one is dead, and pretending you don't know. When she finally did find out he was dead, I was in her room doing more x-rays on her. I had mixed emotions...I felt sorry for her, but then again I didn't feel sorry for her. Well, the girl had absolutely nothing wrong with her physically. But, now she will have to live with this the rest of her life. But, that's just a typical New Year's Eve in nearly any ER. |
