LadyJane I am REALLY appreciating this fucking song. Nice groove. BEt it's a great opener.

Say whatever you will about the E Street.
YOu can NEVER say they weren't a real band.
A unique unit.

Patti rocks!! I love a rock n roll redhead.

Damn I wish I could see them live.

LJ.

LJ's Disclaimer: There will never be a Band that means more to me than The Rolling Stones. I wish we were still monitoring their setlists.

The ESB will be back in the US in March/April. Strong rumours of a show in Buffalo, so you'll probably get your chance

fireontheplatter if i can ever figure out what the hell a radio nowhere is then maybe i'll start liking the song.

FotiniD It is an awesome song indeed.
The first time I heard it, I thought it was one of the classic Springsteen songs I hadn't heard... Fantastic.
10th November 2007 09:38 AM
Nellcote Is there anybody alive out there?
I enjoyed this from the front row of the pit in Hahtfud in 10/02. Next Sunday & Monday, at the tour end in Bahston, with the Marvelous Meg & company! LJ, I see plenty of GA seats available.....do you want to tour Bahston again?

M.O.W.A.T. Radio Nowhere is an amazing song and great as an opener! In fact, Magic is probably one of the best albums that has come out this year. Every song he played from it translated well to the stage!
10th November 2007 10:02 AM
PartyDoll MEG Glad you are enjoying it, LJ!
Always enjoy sharing my musical interests!
10th November 2007 10:54 AM
ebmp Great song.. But it's a little repetitive

Long Walk Home is the true masterpice on this album

Personally I think its one of the weaker songs on the album. It's very good, but there are certainly many superior songs on 'Magic'.

'Gypsy Biker' and 'Girls in their summer clothes' have been my two favourites from day one.

I think that, apart from the hidden track "Terry's Song", he's played the whole album live by now, hasn't he?

Its obviously something like Clear Channel, as - even though the album reached #1 - they sent instructions to their affiliate stations for them NOT to play anything from the album.

I believe Terry's Song was played at Terry Magovern's funeral, while You'll Be Comin' Down has not been played yet.

Radio Nowhere kicks ass!

Stray Cat UK "Devil's Arcade" does it for me .Maybe it's the strings, but it made my hair stand on end when it came on in the car the other day.

A great album IMHO

Just checked and youre quite correct. Surprised 'You'll be Comin Down' hasnt been debuted yet.

I knew Terrys Song had been played at the funeral (it was written for that purpose) but I meant during the tour, which, of course, it hasnt been.

Lefty, How was Girls in their Summer Clothes? This is probably the one new song I want to hear live the most.

Factory Girl Dear Lady Jane,

Go to the show, if you can.

I was at Verizon 11/12/07 (WDC), and it was ok.

Have you heard the new Patti Scialfa CD, and do you care?

glencar It was "OK"? Hardly a ringing endorsement! LOL

I do have Devils & Dust, from his last CD, & Radio Nowhere is MUCHO better. MUCHO!!!

Nellcote Still time for Bahston this Sunday/Monday.....
Watch for the drop....
LJ, we can visit that store again....
Glenny, it's not Fenway....although bound to be some World Series Champion players there.....
14th November 2007 09:15 PM
Fiji Joe I'll be the voice of dissent..not a terrible song...but by Springsten standards?...it's less than mediocre...average by any standard really...there's some really good rock n' roll out there...no need to hype the stuff that isn't
14th November 2007 09:20 PM
Nellcote Hey, this aint Kansas, Toto.
Go to the show, see the power & fury live!
There's nothing like Radio Nowhere blasting live..
The gitar interplay of Gypsy Biker, the surf sounds of Summer Clothes. Hey, what is like it was anyway....

I'm sure it's great live...never seen anything bruce has done live that sucked,,,but then again, I've never seen 57 channels live...I've been on a Bruce kick of late...and next to Born to Run, etc., this song disappoints...it's average...

I'd love to go despite the Bosox fans abounding there but I do have to work next week. A Friday night show works best for moi. BTW I think we can all agree that "Last One To Die" song is one of his worst songs ever. Brucie needs to avoid politics. He doesn't do it well.
14th November 2007 09:45 PM
Nellcote As one Ronald Wood once sang...We All Get Old....
Admittedly, the trials, tribulations, virtual life support conditions which were behind BTR certainly do not have their place in the modern recordings of The Boss. Just reading the booklet as well as watching the dvd from the 30th anny version of that priceless recording places it on the pedastal it deserves. IMHO, for rock groups who've been around 30+ years, this lp, this brief sample tour is tops this year....and will continue unabated into '08, to an arena near you....

Radio Nowhere is a great concert song, Feej..just made for a rock and roll experience. I agree that is a tad "pop" like 57 Channels and not one of Bruce's writing masterpieces..but I am glad he will be opening two Boston's shows with this song...
