Stones Live Licks would have done better if it was promoted. I have not heard anything about it or seen ads for it anywhere. It seems they put it out to fill in time before the new album.

Maxlugar I'll be at the Toby Keith message board for a while.
November 10th, 2004 01:23 PM

Glad I can entertain you Josh. Your yearly intake must certainly suggest a high IQ.

Maxlugar The Rolling Stones are now the Beach Boys.

And it sickens me.

Almost nine years since the last studio album.

And counting.

Snappy McJack What's the retail price for this thing? I assume the opening week price was cheaper than the suggested retail price -- so with the opening price probably being the cheapest price tag this CD will ever have, I assume that this thing won't do much better now. Who's gonna buy a Stones live album (a live album that was recorded from a tour in their late years) for over $25? Not many!

Well, even with those, I don't see it doing much better. As it has been said, this thing hasn't really been marketed -- which makes me doubt that some guy looking for a CD will fork over close to $20 because he was surprised he saw a Stones live album on the shelf. They'll most likely look for 2 CD's for $10 each. Hell, I'd assume that the 20,000 people that bought them were through-and-through Stones fans.

Now THAT was funny!
November 10th, 2004 03:19 PM
Maxlugar There was a very long TV commercial for it today. Won't help.

As Stones fans, all we have, offically, is the past now.

Which is a rather low # compared to concert attendance...

Maxlugar Josh, the world was not ready yet for that post.

I will feel the repercussions of my talent, wit and sarcasmic genius for months.

I just want healing now.

Maxlugar Can anyone tell me what happened to Teri Hatcher's beautiful face?

Boy, that was one Wack Worthy face a few years ago (Circa Soap Dish)

Time can tear down a building...

WACKY!
November 10th, 2004 07:52 PM
glencar Wasn't time that tore down her face. It looks more like Dr. Beverly Hills. The knife shouldn't be used under the age of 40 unless you're related to Joanie Rivers.
November 10th, 2004 07:53 PM
glencar As for the Stones palcement, it sucks but can anyone be surprised? This might even cut into future album sales of any releases of new schtick.

I don't think so, the new album will sell very well, at least the first week.
