Live Licks would have done better if it was promoted. I have not heard anything about it or seen ads for it anywhere. It seems they put it out to fill in time before the new album. |

What's the retail price for this thing? I assume the opening week price was cheaper than the suggested retail price -- so with the opening price probably being the cheapest price tag this CD will ever have, I assume that this thing won't do much better now. Who's gonna buy a Stones live album (a live album that was recorded from a tour in their late years) for over $25? Not many! |

Well, even with those, I don't see it doing much better. As it has been said, this thing hasn't really been marketed -- which makes me doubt that some guy looking for a CD will fork over close to $20 because he was surprised he saw a Stones live album on the shelf. They'll most likely look for 2 CD's for $10 each. Hell, I'd assume that the 20,000 people that bought them were through-and-through Stones fans. |
