A set list like this actually justifies a $185+ Massey Hall ticket!

Yes, it is!

I wish I was going, Keef. I tried on the morning of pre-sales and actually scored a single, 6th row ticket at 10:02 but threw it back when I saw the price. Good tickets were basically gobbled up within minutes. Around 10:30 I scored a first row seat (for the 2nd show) with obsctructed view AND poor quality sound warnings. Fuck that!

Last show I saw there was the Black Crowes last year. They performed a smokin "Alabama" and I remember thinking to myself how surreal it would be to see Neil doin' that in here!

Coulda, woulda, shoulda!

monkey_man I'm more interested in Tom Waits and Neil . . . I can score tickets pretty easily. It's scoring good tickets that's gonna be difficult.

Child of the Moon I was there, fifth row. A fucking AMAZING show. Three unreleased tunes in the acoustic set (Sad Movies hasn't been played since '76), and some of them are comparative rarities (Harvest hasn't been played regularly since '73). The electric set was fantastic, as well, and it was a real treat to get Bad Fog, Winterlong, and Oh Lonesome Me.

During the electric set, before and during each song, Neil's old pal Sandy Mazzeo would paint on a canvas in the background, and it would incorporate the next song's title, and the finished piece was placed on an easel up front. Truly multimedia.

Meil was in a great mood, and in fantastic voice. When people in the crowd began hooting and hollering song requests (my best friend, in response, shouted "Sample and Hold!"), Neil told them, "Wow, it's so great that you guys know the titles of my songs! That's really sweet of you..."

The man is a fucking genius.
