Get a refund... Fuck them. I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't making plans to scrap Oakland and LA as well.
I want to see one person, who is close to AC, step up and do this. Refunds are guarenteed b/c of the cancelation...
Does anyone feel the way I am today, and not have 3,000 miles between you and the gig?
I'm never going to see them again...
I swear this... The music is great, the fun has been had, but this shit... I'm gave them alot of rope b/c of my love and all these years... I'm done with paying to see them live.
IMO, the touring ends at The Beacon... Congrutaltions to all you who are going.
It's 5PM on here. I have been awake since 11 AM EST Friday. My wife is pissed at me b/c she wanted to leave the baby at home and take our 5 year old to Oakland for the night, and I was to tired to stay at home with the baby. I had a good time in AC, I just allowed my denial to carryon, but now I'm pissed. I got fucked. If Mick was really to ill, fine. BUT he wasn't... My Dad called me yesterday when he heard the news. He said, wil lthey hook you up, give you front rows for The Oakland show, or allow people who got burned a chance to get made ammends. I was like, NO! I thought about. They should! Mick rehearsed today in NYC. I' ve made to many excuses to my friends, justified to them how I spend so much money to see them. I always found a way to justify it. B/c I went to the shows. Now, it's personal. They snubbed me. This is like catching my wife cheating. They betrayed me. If they were close by, and doing a open fan greet. I'd go, but I'd tell them the fuck off.
They gave me one thing. I didn't get left alone. I got you guys. All the great people I met and hung with.
They're dead to me! I will never put myself in a position to be fucked over like this again.
I was really looking forward to seeing JB. We can laugh it off, and Jb hung tough. They fucked us all on so many levels...
Unless you've never seen them, let it end at The Beacon and whatever they decide to rol lout here...
I'm done with this, I don't know about anyone else.
I got my memories, the music and you guys...
I don't need a concert to keep that close! |

They should have stopped touring 20 years ago. I never even contemplated seeing them at AC, even though it's like a two hour drive and I would be able to get a free hotel room.
If I were one of the poor suckers who actually bought one of the AC tix, I would totally get a refund.

they did stop tourin twenty years ago. boredom set in, bank accounts dwindled and three years later they came back. it hasn't been the same since then. after that tour even bill quit. its been a hell of ride since then i've certainly enjoyed it. |

A few weeks back when reports of the boys playing was sounding dismal, I thought okay, maybe AC will be it. Not a bad way to end it. Then the Beacon was announced, and I got as lucky as anyone could get and thought now this is the way to finish. AC as a tune up, and then Beacon. It doesn't get better than that. I (and so many others), should have been on such a high now going into tomorrow's show. Instead we are all pissed off. I'm sure the excitement will build tomorrow, but right now, exhaustion and frustration is taking it's toll. If I had to decide now, the tickets go back. Come on Mick, I challenge you to change my mind! |

I can't blame anyone who doesn't want to travel across the country again. I too would seek a refund. I'm certainly not going "across the pond" next year. I've gotta make vacation plans early for the coming year & I've done enough finagling around Stones shows. I'm tired of sacrificing for these guys. |

Things is getting messy...
According to a poster at Shidoobee, word at Ronnie's art show tonight is that the LA show will be rescheduled for 11/22, and the Hawaii show will be cancelled.

Right at Thanksgiving weekend, way to screw more people. Technically 11/22 would be better for me than say 11/20 (because truthfully I really WOULD much rather see Gwar) but there is no way I would be able to find a ride to the family homestead on Thanksgiving day. |

JB, the only solice we had was each other. Can't imagine how screwed you got, stranded in Philly without the cool folk to hang out with. We made the best of it. Wish you could have made it over to AC.
See you at the Beacon.

Hi Scope!!! I spoke to LJ and it seemed, indeed, you all made the best out of a very disappointing situation...I was more disappointed for my son than myself. Thank god everbody made it through this all right, and you had each other.. ....The "Rocks-Off " extended family has very broad shoulders and a strong constitution if you know what I mean!!! All my best-JB

Pdog, it broke my heart to see this happen. I felt much worse for other people than I did for myself - you being one of them. I know what a sacrifice it was for you to come clear across the country and what a leap of faith it took. I'm just sorry that the Stones couldn't live up to it. Everyone got royally screwed.

I feel sorry for you guys who bought tix, but are you really, truly surprised? Travelling across the continent to see a group of 60-something drug addicts with arthritis and emphasima is a risky idea. I remember back in 1994 I was seriously worried that I wouldn't be able to see the band - I thought Keith would drop dead any day, and that would be it. I think The Stones have given us way more than we could have reasonably expected over the past 20 years. Jagger is almost 65 years old for Chissakes. I'm sure he'd be singing tonight if he could. But he's old and sick.
I guess all I'm trying to say is that anytime you buy tickets for a concert in another city, you are taking a risk. The risk is even higher when the band in question is made up of geriatrics. I hope to God that The Stones will be able to play the Vancouver show, as I have tickets. But if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. |

If having a Rolling Stone's concert cancelled is not bad enough, I was stranded in my penthouse suite at the Loews in Philly, when we learned their was a huge rap concert at the Wachovia Center, and by chance, many of the acts were all staying on the same floor as me!!!!! Can you say "shizzle my nizzle" ???? :eek :eek :eek |

There are no words to express the anger I would feel if I were in Pdog's shoes. This whole thing is just fucked-up. The Beacon shows are sure to be great, but I feel for those folks that got the shaft in Atlantic City. |

You know, when they cancelled those shows in Europe, and particularly Spain, I remember thinking how easily it could happen. A couple of weeks ago I actually thought they were going to cancel Chicago (it would have hurt a lot less than AC, and they'd have been justified).
Just goes to show you, the Stones don't discriminate. Europe, the U.S. - they piss anywhere!
I'll try to save up enough money in three weeks to go to the November 17th show (if indeed they play a rescheduled show - I'll believe it when I see it) because the seat I have will place me as close as I've ever been to them, and I, along with many others, think this may be my last Stones show.
I really feel awful for the fans who travelled from Europe and across the U.S. and reserved pricey hotel rooms. They're the ones who are getting screwed the most by this whole debacle. This was definitely a deep cut. It hurt.

Seriously, you have seen Stones in NY a million of times! Think a minute if you live in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and ever Puerto Rico or Mexico.
You still are lucky guys! Remember it! |
