Something tells me tonight will provide some surprises - good or bad.
11th October 2006 08:01 PM
mrhipfl what time eastern does the concert start?
11th October 2006 08:04 PM
SweetVirginia I'm guessing 10-10:30. The two stadium shows I saw in September they came on about an hour after the opening act finished. It's so cold tonight in Chicago, maybe there will be less time between acts.

Do you think I'm optomistic putting 19 songs slots on the setlist??

11th October 2006 08:08 PM
Nellcote Poplar, you may be on to something.
From one of the most recent posts on Chuck's blog, we have...

10/03,04:

"At the show I did my thing…. and wrote the set list with a lot of well known numbers as we’ve never played here before and we knew they would appreciate hearing mostly familiar songs unlike in some cities where we’ve played many shows through the years…and even on this tour.."

"Backstage we had a little rehearsal in Keith’s room…and this time Mick had agreed to join us. I had pressed him to do so in order for us to go over a couple of potential songs to add in to the mix soon. So we went through She Was Hot and Loving Cup. Hopefully it won’t be long before we can give them a try on the stage..."

Soldatti Let's cross our fingers for She Was Hot.
11th October 2006 08:36 PM
Gazza In that weather, they'll all need to keep a lot of things crossed.
11th October 2006 08:43 PM

could never understand why on the video for that song it plays fast...

For some reason, Keith's facial expression after Anita Morris appears in his room always reminds me of Harpo Marx

Notice the 3 bits of silly censorship in that version - you dont see the TV executive's trouser buttons flying off - and they edit out the bit where hes holding a can of Tab. Plus the bit at the very end where it looks as if flames are coming out of Anita's ass is edited out

Nellcote I dig the different lyrics.
I've got a seven min version of this from a NY radio station at the time somewhere...it goes on and on..
I've not yet see the unedited version show up on you tube with "the flames"...

I think that was a scratch on the vinyl...You heard it on WAPP...I remember that happening...though it may have been WNEW...can't recall
11th October 2006 09:13 PM
Nellcote Yeah, you got it. It was WNEW. I think the dj talked over it near the end, but it is a keeper jam..
11th October 2006 09:18 PM
Bitch I'm predicting these 2 songs on the setlist tonight!

Keith's "acting" in that video is hysterical.

Good Lord, Gazza. You are a walking encyclopedia. Who else could come up with Anita Morris's name?

I'm impressed.

well..Anita (RIP) was in quite a few films, and of course has another Stones link in that she played Danny DeVito's girlfriend in "Ruthless People". Thats basically how I'd have known her name

Nice start with YGMR....
11th October 2006 10:01 PM
Gazza SOL is coming up soon. I can sense Tom is making the excuse at this moment that his bladder is filled to bursting point - no doubt as I type this he's pushing past everyone en route to the bathroom, but Pam or Meg is restraining him and preparing him for the 'irresistable' singalong
11th October 2006 10:01 PM
Paranoid_Android it's 9pm...in Chcago...36 degrees w/ a windchill btn 33-28 degress...humidity at 66%...thems some brave Stones fans...keep your balls warm!!!
