T&A no brainer - She Saw Me Coming is the only song on the album with that "old time magic" to it. Coulda been a hit in the 70's....

I, too, am having difficulty in picking just one song (how can you choose between Rough Justice, BOMH, ONNYA, Let Me Down Slow, It Won't Take Long among others).

If I had to pick just one, I would pick Laugh I Nearly Died.

Rev Twenty Redlights Yeah, I got about 8 of em that I think are perfect,
but the one that I think is more than perfect, that
just kills me everytime I hear it is LAUGH I NEARLY DIED.
I think technically it is Mick's greatest vocal
performance ever. And emotionally, its devastating.
Plus Keith's at his best on it too, laying down one
pretty wash of sound after another. Hey, the song is
a fucking drug, what more can I say.

deuce Oh No, Not You Again
Fucking up my life!

^ Best stones rocker since like, who knows...Respectable maybe.
October 13th, 2005 11:54 AM
Zeeta Rough Justice it seriously rocks my balls off!
October 13th, 2005 12:11 PM
PeerQueer Great songs depending on one's mood.

Rough Justice, Oh No, Rain, Laugh, all quite good tunes.

Surprisingly though, the songs that I have been tuning into the most during my extended I-5 driving, has been both of Keith's efforts. Place is Empty and Infamy are GREAT tunes. They have really grown on me - just like his other Stone's efforts from the past. The more time goes by, the better they get - ie. Slipping Away, etc.

I know some in here slag him for his laid back style songs, but I think they are fantastic. And Infamy has a bit of rock to it, and is oh-so-sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Great album overall.

ditto - what is it about this song?
it just has that THING......
i love that part at the end where he's screaming:
'on nooo...' over and over - its got passion, humor, drive -
the best since 1978.....
October 13th, 2005 12:22 PM
poor immigrant Let Me Down Slow
followed closely by
Laugh I Nearly Died

Everything else pales in comparison. As much as OH NO and ROUGH JUSTICE are great rockers, they add nothing to the legacy.

DAVINO The whole thing rocks, especially "She Saw Me Coming", I was singing that one for days, have to listen to the cd again today!

duck Dangerous Beauty, The song that will live on. People say its about that England chick, but I think its about Condi Rice, you know shes got bush on a leash.

You're very astute. Or stupid. I'm still trying to decide.

Taptrick
I'm digging Laugh. They played it on Supernatural the other night.

Funny thing about that England chick. I just left my last job at The Navay Consolidated Brig Miramar last month. I'd have to guess that's where she is incarcerated as Miramar is the DoD female confinement facility. If I were still there I would probably seen her in clinical services. So I may have just missed "the" dangerous beauty by a few weeks.

Lazy Bones Let Me Down Slow. "Laugh.." is a very close 2nd.
October 13th, 2005 02:10 PM

yep.
it was featured in the young, hipster WB show "Supernatural" Tuesday night.

Rizollin Had no idea people liked Let Me Down Slow as much as I do. I think Rough Justice would be my #2 but I am starting to really dislike that "bat outta hell" line. Mick must really be a Loaf fan to cut an' paste that one in. Gotta say that Laugh I Nearly Died is really growing on me. Also, dare I say it but I never ever skip Streets of Love, actually look foward to it, glad it's an early track on the album. (did I just say that out loud?)

Soldatti Rough Justice

Let Me Down Slow is growing on me, it could be my favorite in few days/weeks.
