wooahh St Sway now your really pushing the bounds of credibility...
unique?!?!...i would have thought that there would be at least half a dozen bands that fit the Crowes profile (stones wannabe's trading on the licks, sounds and looks of the stones from the 60s/70s)in every city in the western world |

I got a question Saint Sway : isn t there a Crowes board, somewhere, where you could express your love for the band??
I mean, it could be better for you, you could find people that share your passion??

Blooze, actually, that was 1/3 of my bbq Sunday.
The rub I used was from Salt Lick, in Driftwood.
That rub was good enough to stand on it's own.
The second rub from Stubbs, along with Stubbs Moppin Sauce.
My buddy who lives near Round Rock tells me some rub from Cooper's is on the way to me, you been there?
The final rub was Char Crust Hickory~Molasses, with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce for finish.
It was a regular hoedown warmup Sunday for the big tailgate party at the hacienda in November.
I actually used some Rudy's earlier in the week, still near the best..
Riffy, you are four-four by my count.
Keep on Smilin Bro!

The Black Crowes are totally passé. After two (very) good albums (Moneymaker and Southern Harmony) they sunk to a very low level. They are not interesting anymore for many years now. Completely washed out and outdated. |

How are they unique? In that they came of age when there was an Internets so that their small cult following can actually feel like they aren't the only one in town that cares about them? I mean, you don't think their sound or anything is "unique," do you?
You Black Crowes fans are funny. You rave about a band that's been essentially a mediocre jam band their entire existence, but if the Stones don't recreate Exile on Main St. every night you slag them. How pathetic is that? |

I'm not one to kick a man when he's down but, what the hell, I thought I would take this TIME to join in on some of the fun.
This is the same question I posed to Saint Sway a few months ago. Personally, I have no problem with his beliefs which seem to center around the fact that the CROWES are currently able to do the STONES better, in album and in concert, than what the latter day version of the STONE themselves are able to do musically in the here and now.
Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and everyone has different taste when it comes to music.
As a fan of the CROWES myself (I've seen them over a dozen times in concert), I find them to be an entertaining band but, as I've said many tmes already, they simply are not in the same league with the STONES. It's like comparing a minor league team to a team in the bigs.
Sure that's my belief (the CROWES being minor league when compared to the STONES) but this is a message board that is devoted to the ROLLING STONES. Is it surprising that I and others have a passion when it comes to the STONES??? That I and others will never share this idea of the BLACK CROWES as the saviours of rock and roll.
That is why they have different message boards for different groups so people can share similiar passions. When someone comes to a ROLLING STONES message board and is constantly negative towards them then praises another group (any group) as being so much better, people will slam you in the same way if I went on to the Black Crowes.com message board and constantly posted that the CROWES were a washed up piece of shit. What do think their reaction would be???

That's a great idea! While we do the above, you can go suck Crowe Cock on a Black Crowes' message board!
Or can they even AFFORD one? |

Preach it
They were GREAT for two months in what, 91 or 92
Next up for the Crowes:
County Fairs, childrens birthday parties and convenience store openings
A once decent band that couldn't even handle moderate success
Sad because they were good for those couple of months 14 yrs ago
