texile what? no positive influence? not a fan of the jerry hall years but bianca inspired some great songs ....
and it's precisely the fact that she's NOT a "rock chick"
that makes her all the more interesting....
besides - she's the only one without a book deal...
but i really like that girl in gimme shelter standing on the side of the stage - stoned out of her mind ....just grooving to the music.

Anita doesn't have a book deal. That's just a rumor.
What songs did Bianca inspire? I'm curious.
September 28th, 2005 07:15 PM
texile a shitload - they can't ALL be about anita and marianne...lol - wtf?
what did anyone inspire? there are tons and tons of songs written by jagger and richard - some might have even been inspired by thier woman at a certain given moment....
we could all guess who inspired what and then debate ...
but my point is -
what's with the outright, biased condemnation ...
i never understood that, but then again -
i tend to gravitate toward those maligned....
they're more interesting....

Saint Sway right now I'm torn between either:

Mandy Smith - back when she was 13

or

Mandy Smith's mom - hell, at any age. If she's good enough for Bill Wyman's kid, then she's good enough for me!

Practically the entire Some Girls album for a few. Respectable immediatly springs to mind. "Easiest lay on the White House lawn." Is a direct referance to her supposed affair with John Ford,Gerald Ford's son. Lies is also a dig at Bianca. As is the title track. There is also a referance(although indirect) to Jerry on Some Girls. That would be Miss You.

I personaly think Bianca is the biggest bitch that Mick ever got involved with. She was a total social butterfly, and I blame her for Jagger's piccadilos with that whole society crowd, ala Truman Capote,Diane Vreeland, and all the other hangers on that circulated at Studio 54,and the New York chic clique. Mick, ofciourse, lives for that whole social status bullshit, but I think that Bianca really pushed him towards it.

My two favorite Stones chicks are easily Marriane and Anita. Though they had their share of problems as well. They were both the two quintissential 1960's Swinging London hip chicks! Nobody ever came close to replicating their inate sense of Carnaby Street cred.

keith's supplier? i've never read anything about her.....

hey texile - her names on the tip of my tounge but i can't quite recall - god i hate it when that happens - that unknown factoid will be rattling around my skull driving me crazy until i hear the answer, when i will then say "of course!! - i knew that all along!!")

i'm sure she gets a mention in the bokris book (for one - maybe also STP)so some one grab your copy of that and have a look - she wasn't a supplier as i recall

No, Texile I'm talking about the girl they lifted on the plane, turned up, and then pretended to enjoy themselves to her wonder. It was one of the crew I think. Regarding, Bianca, I like her even more than any of the Stones. I am not necessarily pointing out people on this board, but most people hate a strong intelligent woman. Jerry Hall seems like a bit of an idiot.

jpenn11 Is Theodora old enough to be my favorite or do I need to wait a few more years?

Incidentally, I thought Black Limo also was about Mick and BJ.

I wasn't trying to start a debate/argument with you. It's difficult to know what kind of "tone" someone is using when you're communicating via the internet.
I was just curious as to what kind of muse Bianca was for Mick. I know I've read that "Hey Negrita" is about Bianca, which is cool.

I thought "Let Me Go" was inspired by Anita?
I do like the fact that "You Got the Silver" was written for Anita.

All the Stones books make so many different claims that it's difficult to know who inspired what. I'm sure there were many contributing factors, etc...

Yes, I do. I have amassed a rather large collection of rare Linda Keith pics. Also, I have a lot of rare Suki Potier/Poitier and Lil Wenglass Green photos which are all saved to discs. If you're interested in any, send me a PM and I can email you a .zip file.

Brainbell Jangler Anita by a nose over Marianne, but maybe just because of the accent. Her interest in magick helps, too. Both of them were tops, but Marianne has shown more talent over the years (I love "Broken English").

I always assumed "Black Limousine" was written for Bianca.
"We looked so fine, baby, you in white and me in green"
Just like on their wedding day.

ahh - true gypsy i misread your tone......i love anita and marianne but i do find it interesting the amount of manic animosity toward bianca - read:riffhard..lol - i find her very genuine;
i honestly believe jagger met his match in bianca - intellectually and tempermentally - and she challenged him .....the music from that era reflects that kind of intense, push/pull relationship (soul survivor); i think most of the songs we regard as great from that period (fool to cry, crazy mama, winter, if you really..etc.)were "inspired" by his relationship with her....in fact - exile is about renewel, new love (let it loose..)and she was a very present force during this time...just as the aftermath of divorce is present in some girls and beyond (emotional rescue, down in the hole, just listen to the sadness in no use in crying...)jagger's relationship with hall seemed too passive at that time to inspire these kind of conflicting emotions - love, pain, anger, bitterness etc...)
actually riff - bianca probably is the reason some girls is so great (check out the files of the blacklisted journalist)including miss you (which was written during the el mocambo rehearsals) so you're half-right; and yes, i know jerry hall boasts that its about her - that says it all...
i believe miss bianca is often misunderstood and not given enough credit for what she is: a demanding and intelligent woman....and THAT's an infuriating thing to some.
gypsy - it's hard to tell with anita because we don't know how much a part of the lyrics keith was responsible for - i always assumed let me go was jerry hall though...(note the sarcastic hillbilly twang)
beast of burden is the best example of mick and keith singing on two different levels: while kieth wrote the chorus, jagger wrote the verses - keith trying to break away from anita and thier co-dependency and jagger still in love......
for all his protestations, jagger rarely writes about anything BUT his life - so it's easy to read between the lines;

is anita/brian the last verse in ycagwyw?
i still pick gorda....
