"it doesn't matter about the age - it's about intention, integrity and the power to move people"
he actually said it about seeing Lou Reed live recently, but I think it just as easily applies to the Stones.

Andrew SULLIVAN is a Jew? Oy vey!
Bowie was on Letterman last night. Man, he still hasn't got it back. |
|
jb |
Who is Andrew sullivan? Isn't Bowie a flamer? |
|
glencar |
Sullivan is that gay Englishman (LOL) who edited the New Republic. He has a pretty good weblog about politics. |
|
jb |
Apparently, it's quite a common thing for Englishmen to want to dress in drag...I remember reading about it in one of the many Stones books when they were commenting on the Stones being photographed in drag....apparently homosexuality runs right beneath the service among the Brits and it is "kept intact" through the release of cross dressing. |

Yeah, they say that they've got those old-lady turkey wattle-type hangy-down thingies under their arms.
Boy, there should be a simpler way to say that - but there just ISN'T! |

" Boy, there should be a simpler way to say that - but there just ISN'T! "

I like Bowie--my fave just behind the Stones!
He's also released two great NEW albums in the past two years, which is more than I can say for our favorite band. I LOVE how he's already done a few concerts where he's played EVERY SONG from the new album, IN ORDER, before launching into the old hits.
Both Bowie and Dylan are close to the top of their form with their new studio work--here's hoping that the Stones join the Club!

I enjoyed watching my Marlins come back to defeat the Phillies 5-4 last night and take a 2 game lead in the wild card race....I sat in the club level seats (32.00) and enjoyed my giant kosher hot dog($5.00) along with my diet coke. |
|
luridchief |
Five bucks for a hot dog? HOLY SHIT! |
|
jb |
Yes...and 8.00 dollars for a large draft beer... |
|
Boomy |
Looks like the Marlins are in a good postition.
But, ya never know what could happen.
I just hope the Giants lose. Again. And the Yankees, too.
jb, did you go to game 7 of the WS in '97 when Renteria hit the game winning single over Jaret Wright's (or was it Charles Nagy?) head? I remember Tony Fernandez of the Indians missed a ground ball which could've got them out of that inning.
