Does that mean I win the first drink?
And I suppose you knew that right off the top of your head?!! Christ..can't you ever get anything wrong!!
Rest assured given Jo's "pecker order", you will not be lacking any drinks at the Pilot Inn!!

You will be alllowed to drink a number of pints equivalent to the number of posts you have made on RO.
Better get cracking, Jo.
(Thank goodness pdog won't be there...with THAT post count)

I'm gathering around Gazza, because he's my KING of the RS underground, and I promised to kiss his ass (if he'll allow it). Does that score me any brownie points? |

Or according to the number of "L"s you put into alllocate???
Actually, Sweetheart, I don't drink, but don't worry, I'm the same pissed as I am sober, plus the Official Rocks Off Patisserie Chef won't be sober, will she????? ....(alcohol just gave me migraines, so have given it up years ago, if ever you need a liver transplant, try to get mine!)...Yes, it is a real shame pdog won't cross the pond, would have loved to meet him....
And VERY by the way: it only dawned on me the other day how the post-count on this lunatic asylum works, can you believe it??? (perhaps I'm a natural blonde ???) So, the people with the highest numbers of posts are not necessarily the people posting the most readable or interesting or relevant content (pdog OF COURSE is an exception!), they just flit from thread to thread like butterflies , add some irrelevant garbage and, hey presto, the number is up!!! It's a male thing, just like comparing penis size, I'm sure! Whereas you can stay on a thread till 500, have really long and interesting conversations and just add 1 post....So: the numbers are irrelevant,my Dear, I think we should award drinks strictly on "personality rating", what do you think???? |

Agreed. Quality over quantity any day...in most every endeavor.
As an aside, you should also know that before you arrived on the scene some of our posters figured out how to artificially inflate their post count through a sort of Novogate-on-Viagra method. This further nullifies judging posters on their counts!
Your posts are a delight, Jo.

Here are links to a few pubs with rock 'n' roll connections worth checking out if you are staying in central London.
The first is The Sherlock Holmes which used to be regular haunt for Jimi Hendrix, the second is on Wardour Street and is called The Ship. This is a traditional Soho pub though its a little more rocking than the others. A lot of the old punk bands used to drink there and reportedly, Keith Moon too. Thirdly, you have The Lloyds No1 on Charing Cross Road which used to be a club called The Marquee. Not where the Stones started out, but the secong incarnation where The Who and Hendrix could be heard thrashing away and later, The Clash and Sex Pistols. Its just up th road from a (now sadly boarded up) pub called The Intepid Fox which is where Ronnie and Rod Stewart used to drink.

wtf??? are you serious????what is it about men that makes them so ridiculously competitive???? Did Herr Gazza not rip their post counts back??? Like in the army when you get dishonourably chucked out???? Or....noooooooooooooo....wait a minute.....he didn't take the Viagra as well??????? Please tell me it isn't true!!! (if I could post pictures, I would now add pdog's hamster-clip with the scary music...)

Good idea Meg.
If there are any locals out there who might be willing to contact someone at Pilot Inn and do some advance work, here's the contact info:

Yes. I mentioned this today to some of the Londoners on IORR and one of them contacted the pub, who were unaware of the potential influx but who were apparently glad to be informed! |

Gave the Pilot Inn a ring just now and made sure I spoke to the manager. He's now most definitely aware of an 'influx' over three afternoons later this month and made a note of the dates in question. |

Cheers for that Gazza, I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
How many of us will be at the Tim Ries RS Project gig on Wednesday 22?
Thinking about going to that.
