LadyJane The 3000 innocent lives lost 6 years ago today.
The bravery shown by the Police, Fire and EMT workers.
The families who continue to live with great loss every day.
The World coming together for just a brief moment in time to mourn together in Peace.

NO POLITICS PLEASE. NOT HERE. NOT TODAY. THANK YOU.

LJ.

Riffhard I won't ever forget. Nor will I ever forgive. Yes, LJ. No politics.

I totally agree LJ, but what exactly can Mr. Jurkka mean by that post? I lost friends that day, and I for one am quite curious as to what that post is suppossed to imply.

If it is just lost in translation that is one thing, but if this post is meant to poke fun or ridicule this day of rememberence than I'd like to know why anyone would be so insensitive.

SweetVirginia Unbelievably callous.

_Boomy_ Well, so much for having a nice thread.

Here is a song that Velvet Revolver wrote about a person (no one in particular) that went through this tragedy. It is not available on any of their albums.

The video has some images from 9/11, so take from that what you will. It has performance footage, but they've never played this song live. It's just a video that someone made to remember this day.

Listen to the lyrics......

LadyJane Unbelievable!

I specifically asked that we maintain reverence in this thread in memory of those who perished on 09/11.

Those that died were killed regardless of gender, religious belief, political affilitation and nationality.

Can we do that just once?
Just in one thread???

LJ.

I sincerely hope thats a response to Lazy Bones' remark and not aimed at the original message of this thread. Think you need to explain what youre getting at.

To everyone - dont even think about turning this thread into a political pissing contest. Have some dignity and respect.

SweetVirginia This being a Stones message board, here's how our boys eased the pain of the surviving first responders a few weeks later:

jb This is a day for all people of the world who cherish life, liberty and freedom to put aside political differences and pray for the lost souls on that tragic day 6 years ago and their survivors. No one can ever, under any rationale, religious belief, or other justification in their minds, condone the premeditated, intentional killing of people who simply showed up to do their job that day. God bless their souls and God bless America.
