Sorry, I got to bow out. I'm demented, but not like this. At least I think I'm not this demented. Hmmmm...

Flea was driven off by no one -- he left of his own accord. He got pissed when one guy said something about his girlfriend and decided to vent his spleen on a number of people who, incidently, are more than about just politics -- myself included. I disagree with what Tele said about Flea's girlfriend. That was uncalled for. But that sure as hell didn't warrant Flea's lumping me or Riffy or anyone else into his little piss-fest. Fuck him.

Yeah, right? I mean wtf was up with that shit?! I got into many debates with the guy about our political differances, but I did always try and maintain a level of civility. Then he lashed out at everyone that he ever dissagreed with because of Tele's post! Seems odd to me. Hell,I even got high with the guy in the shadow of the Blimp back '02. Drank Guinness with him and shit. I crossed the street! Then he accusses me of crossing the street simply to smoke his dope! LOL! Hell,I was stoned before I ever went over there! I just did so to say hello to him. Hell,I even met fucking Butterbean!! I crossed the street, and even met Butterbean!!

When you get into a war, you have to have some kind of exit strategy that makes some kind of sense.

This idea that a Middle East country such as Iraq with different competing religious, ethnic factions, who have been at each others throats for decades, will suddenly make nice and embrace democracy once Saddam has been removed all for the common good of the people is simple nonsense. They going to go for the jugular. It's human nature. They're going to go for the throat. It's civil war baby!! Chaos. They're going to be fighing in the streets.

It's the exit strategy stupid. The exit strategy.

Vietnam redone.

Not exactly Vietnam redone. In fact, that's the big difference between the Vietnam War and the Iraq War. George W. Bush had a plan for getting out of the Vietnam War.

Isn't it odd somebody would trash someone, then defend them, and quote them as to bashing the persons best friend, who said person is bashing also.

I won't "Swiftboat" you. I will however point out that Bubba Clinton was on the Oxford rowing team during Nam. So I guess it's fair to say that he had a plan to get of it as well?

Plus the Swift Boat vets were telling the truth. We're still waiting for Kerry to sign his military release records btw? You remember. The ones that he claimed would exonorate him of the charges that over sixty vets made. He still has refused to sign them even though he has stated pubicly that he would. It's been three years now? We're still waiting John boy!

Brainbell Jangler There's more than one version of Kerry's war record. I find Jim Rassmann's plausible. I agree that Kerry should get the record out. But whatever it reveals, it's a certainty that Lt. Kerry was in harm's way a lot more often than Dubya was campaigning for Red Blount in Alabama.

As for Clinton, he opposed the Vietnam War. His actions in avoiding the draft were consistent with his beliefs. Dubya's weren't. A guy who opposes a war may be morally justified in refusing to fight in it. Someone who supports that war is a rank hypocrite if he avoids it. Cheney and Newtie, too.

Oh - I'm sure he did. But I'll give him some credit - he is far smarter than his opponents. It's no contest really. Doesn't mean he's not nuts - but then - a few of the regs (pdoggiedooo and figi-iwantmoonierealbad)have proved themselves just as sociopathic. If not more. And less polite.

Good lord, this is the kind of crap you see at Keno's

Hey Brainbell, I know that this is way, way beyond your scope, but Bush flew the F-102 which was an air superiority fighter designed to shoot down Soviet bombers, not ground attack.

It wasn't used in 'Nam. Zero. It was strictly used as part of NORAD for air defense of the US.

So while your hero Clinton was sitting in the Soviet capital of Moscow during 'Nam, Bush was trained to shoot down Soviet bombers that wanted to drop nukes on the US
in his F-102. And for that Bush recieved an honorable discharge with zero infractions on his record

Remember the "Cold War".

Well as one of his opponents I take issue with that statement. I will also attest that Feej, regardless of the spat between you two,is a fair bit more intelligent with regards to real life events than Flea ever was or is. As for Pdog he tended to always side with Flea politically. However,Pdog has the ability to drop the political bullshit in the name of friendship. That is an ability that Flea always had a problem with. Eventually it ended up blowing up in his face and he went all postal and took his ball and went home. Before he left he made damn sure that everyone who ever disagreed with him knew exactly what he felt about them. Again,I was always civil with him. Yet I'm a right-wing nazi so that matters not I guess.

Tele if Bush strangled a kitten in front of you, you'd still love the guy. I gotta give you that, I've never seen anyone try so hard to make Bush look so good here.

Wait...a kitten or a cat? Big difference

You are wrong p. I have many problems with Bush

I just like to set the record factually correct when left wingers make stuff up, which seems to be their MO

Lefties let their blind hatred and emotions run away with them. Like training a puppy, once in a while you have to gently stick their nose in the poop and correct them
