The Biggest Bang is selling surprisingly well worldwide and Mick will be doing promotion for his album during September and October, the market is saturated.
Shine A Light is a good oportunity for something new: touring behind a MOVIE in 2008.

At least an album stays in the shops throughout the tour
Shine A Light will probably be in cinemas for about 2 weeks.
IF it ever gets released, that is.

There could be a whole nother movie..."How Gazza and GTRM Saved The Stones"...Even the twinkling glimmer of 2008 shows is something to hang onto for now....
more than a twinkling glimmer, it would seem. The story I heard last weekend - from what is usually a pretty impeccable source - was that apparently Mark Fisher is already working on a new stage design. |

Why would they need a whole new gigantic stage design to play a few arenas to support Shine A Light?....U2 are working on a new album and my hunch is they go stadiums next time (Summer/Fall 2008) to take a shot at alltime gross. And the design being leaking about is theirs...Stones play 15-20 dates across US Feb-March to support the movie..... |

Cheers, Justin
"According to a source close to Scorsese said: "It was a tight schedule. Everybody felt it was getting rushed"
How long does it take to edit 4 hours of concert film into a two hour movie? 18 months? It's not like its friggin' 'Renaldo And Clara'. |

Well, there probably will be alot of CGI, which takes time. CGI to show the crowd of rich old people at the Beacon are jumping around like lunatics instead of just sitting on their pinply, fat asses rattling their jewellry. |
