GimmeExile Don't worry, it's just the listing price. Like real estate, there will be reductions...Free markets are a good thing!

F505 Where is the Cohl appreciation thread?

winter These prices have to set a new record for the most expensive obstructed view seats at any performance / sporting event ever.

" Don't you get embarrassed when you think about the way you were
Yesterday the day before when you were young with much to learn
Aren't you glad it's your last term
No more acting lowly worm
You can make the suckers squirm
When you tell them how much you earn
Don't you feel ashamed at all the bitterness you keep inside
Does your ego save your face "I had a go - I really tried"
Now you know your leaders lied
Does it stop you acting snide
Or are you still a boy that cried
Tears now surely long since dried.

Cry if you want
Cry if you want ...... "

Saint Sway Onstage tix (or as l like to call them: 20 Ft Above and Behind The Stage Tickets) were $250 on the US tour.

Cohl's press release promised 10-15% ticket price reduction for the new Fall Tour

they are now charging $500 per Onstage ticket

by my math, thats a 200% increase

how is this helping the kids?

Good - maybe if enough of you stay at home they'll get the message and fire the bastard before the damage to their reputation and credibility becomes terminal and afterwards focus on letting the music speak louder than the cash registers

Cohl's job is safe, he made them millions!

Many seats which were $450 last tour are in the next lower bracket, and far more $60 seats are available this time as well.

Cohl is keeping the kids in mind this time, and all will be rewarded!

Now the kids can listen in on the phone for $1.99 for 7 minutes....joey pays 1.99 per minute for many of his calls!!!! fantastic!

yeah, and they would have been broke otherwise

made them zillions and at the same time helped destroy their credibility and how they'll be remembered in years to come.

But hey, as long as they top the "annual gross" charts every year at all costs, thats what counts...

I prefer to remember Exile On Main Street, Some Girls and great shows, personally

Not some greedy fuckers making money they'll never spend in a thousand years

Michael Cohl Do not bite the hand that feeds you. I'm making the kids dreams come true.

We are also now offering "Below Stage Seating". The new stage will be made of clear plexiglass and true fans will have the opportunity to watch the show beneath the band!

throbby Yes, much easier to shit on the fans from that vantage point.

GotToRollMe Go fuck yourself, Mike.

I never could figure out why anyone would pay penny one to sit 50 feet above the stage. They're basically behind-the-stage seats with a little vertigo thrown in. For $500? Feh.

Did you watch "Being Mick"???? They'll spend it.

I will always remember the great shows I attended as well as the great music....but I will always remember U2 being crushed miserably!!!!!
31st July 2006 03:44 PM
voodoopug The Stones were the first band to build seating into the stage (none of this U2, Van Halen, etc crap about wrapping a walkway around a section). This is brilliant marketing to make an oft traveled stage show seem fresh.

We must all take a few minutes and reflect. Without Michael Cohl, there is no Rolling Stones tour post 1981-82!!!!!!

Saint Sway DIFTK - they have now added "Little Rascal Seating" where the kids will be forced to listen outside the venue with dixie cups and strings held up to arena walls

31st July 2006 03:48 PM
throbby Having been herded into one of those boxes I can honestly say that the sound sucked and there is not enough rail space for all seven or eight in the box. Forget about being able to move to the music and still mantain a visual link to the stage. A bargain at 75.00, a joke at 500.00.
