TheSavageYoungXyzzy You guys probably think I'm joking. But I'm not. It's popped up in a few places.

Here it comes... here it co-omes... here it co-ommes, here it co-oommes, here comes your Nineteenth nervous breakdown...

and then, the dive bomb sound from...

Ohhhh, this is my own personal revenge on all of you who think Taylor needs to get back in the band.

Why Taylor? The Stones need a bassist!

And this guy hasn't been in a band since the award-winning Wings!

In all seriousness, he is rumored to be putting in a guest appearance at the concert.

Make of this what you will.

-tSYX --- Soily! Soily!
07-25-03 08:20 PM
gypsy Maybe Heather will go into labor...
07-25-03 08:23 PM
beer No no no no no no no

well..... only if he plays a disco version of his song "Freedom", with Chuck Leavell doing interpretive dances in a oompa loompa costume.

then I guess it would be ok.
07-25-03 08:28 PM
nankerphelge That's disturbing!

Do you think he'll duet with Mick?

Quick, someone steal Heather's peg leg and hold it for ransom...if Paul plays you never see the leg, ah,.. well... alive again!

You know what I mean.

so everybody stand back and look out!!

cold saturday morning here (happy birthday mick) -

beer and chiba for me too last night - a night on the town -
a bit fragile now but a "refresher" pipe (thanks joey!!)and some sweet stones music will smoothe my jagged edges...
07-25-03 08:41 PM
gypsy Nank, Heather has a prosthetic leg for practically every day of the year. It would be kind of hard to steal all of her legs.
Nank, you left out the great rum&coke/coke...that's my personal favorite. Please read my above on chiba dna...these are sad and scary times, my friend.
07-25-03 08:41 PM
steel driving hammer Keith would never be on the same stage w/ Paul.

Never.

Nor should he.
07-25-03 08:50 PM
nankerphelge Agreed.

This is the Rolling Stones and Friends.
Not the Rolling Stones and Friends and Paul who should be more concerned with who stole all 365 of Heather's peg legs.

"Let's have a big fuckin' bon fire Ronnie"
07-25-03 08:53 PM
tumbling_dice Paul is really expected to make an appearance? lol.
Keeping track of this concert gets crazier everyday!
Where did you hear this rumor? :-D
07-25-03 09:47 PM
LadyJane What would be worse....Mick and Justin dueting on "Miss You" or Mick and Paul dueting on "IORR"?

Oh God...time to hit the Vodka!!

Oh, I can SEE this, literally!
During the gig. Keith, after having bravely endured an alien presence onstage during Miss You, is now prepared to *welcome* Sir Paul. The former Beatle, who was invited to sing the backup-vocals for IORR, arrives with a big grin, carrying – guess what?- his bass. Keith thinks his eyes are lying, while the song begins without him. Realizing that Sir Paul is actually going to USE this instrument (Darryl Jones has modestly disappeared from the stage), Keith gets into a cold rage. “What do you think you’re doing?? You’re supposed to be lip-synching like the other fucker (Justin T.), and you dare to come and PLAY my song???” (“OUR song” whispers Mick, while desperately trying to get the guitar player away from the mike.) Sir Paul has a fearful smile, but doesn’t stop playing. Keith : “Did you hear me, you sod?” Meanwhile he grabs Chuck’s keyboards and throws them at the shocked Beatle. The result, in terms of sound, is stunning : a whole Beethoven sonata condensed into one big explosion (but Keith don’t really like Beethoven). Chuck falls into Bobby’s arms, sobbing “I didn’t play one single false note tonight!!” Sir Paul carefully heads for the other end of the stage, and in his great fear, doesn’t see the homemade motored parachute coming right towards him. Onboard are two american activists protesting against the use of chiba-DNA for prosecution purposes. The engine crashes right into the former Beatle, and makes one of the speaker-towers tumble down in a big cloud of smoke. Mick screams “help!” and jumps towards the FOS-audience. He will soon regret this decision, since he lands into a bunch of AC/DC fans, and these guys REALLY smell like beer. The other musicians also flee from the stage, except for Keith who takes a look at the carnage, lights a cigarette and states : “Well, a stones song is a stones song, right? And you don’t mess with a stones song.”

LadyJane Caro....I am literally crying from laughing so hard.

And in the end.......Keith is the last man standing!!!

LadyJ.

07-26-03 10:24 AM
Prodigal Son That is so approapriate. All that chaos and Keith quips, "Well, a Stones song is a Stones song, right? And you don't mess with a Stones song." LOL!
07-26-03 01:23 PM
gypsy LadyJ, those are horrible things to say! ha! Just kidding.
caro, that is one of the funniest things I've read in a while. Although the Maxy/dog pic takes the cake...your story is up there!

Pretty scary, aren't they???

LOL

T&A I would LOVE to see Paul on stage with Mick and the boys - dueting on I Wanna Be Your Lover or something. What on earth is wrong with that. You Beatle bashers need to wake up and realize this isn't the 60's anymore - there is NO feud.

Can't you just picture the whole "caro" scenario? I can't stop reading that damn thing. It's too funny.

As far as Maxy and the dog........VERY frightening!!

LadyJ.

07-26-03 02:36 PM
gypsy I know! I hope caro writes more good stories like that.
I'm kicking myself for not having taken a photo of me and one of my pets as a teen! Damn Maxy for always coming up with everything first. Now, you know Joey is out this weekend, searching for a lookalike dog...

luxury1 Hey--folks going to Toronto!!
I just received an email from Stevie Salas--he is Bernard F's writing partner on their solo Nickelbag stuff (which is fuckin smoking rock n roll) and the guitar player with the long black hair at the El Ray gig during Mick's solo Goddess thing--anyway--he is opening for the Stones at Toronto with Sass (who is a comedian/actress/singer/songwriter?? I have no clue really--but she is supposed to be huge in Canada due to her TV show). Anyway--secret gig at Jeff Healey's club the night before the big blowout--Bernard will be there along with "special friends" Just wanted to let you ROers know in case you were interested in checking it out.
I hate you all.
07-26-03 05:39 PM
gypsy Sass Jordan...I've heard of her. A few years ago, all the CD stores in the mall had cardboard cutouts of her...and I wondered who the hell she was. I've still never heard her music.

LOL gypsy! Actually, the story just came while I tried to figure out this chiba-dna thing that you posted...I still don't understand. I had always thought of cannabis as a friendly plant.
07-27-03 05:12 PM
gypsy I love the story, caro...keep it up.
Yeah, I'm so stunned by the chiba DNA thing. I was only browsing CourtTV, and saw that, and was completely shocked. The article is actually much longer, more detailed, and completely boring. I just can't believe they would resort to chiba DNA.

TheSavageYoungXyzzy From Terry Ott, Beatlemaniac:

"As improbable as the premise seems, this is the Stones reely beeg shew, so why share it with another comparable superstar in Paul McCartney? But Canada's National Post reported yesterday that the rumor is floating around of a Macca/Stones SARS sensation.

The problem is, nobody seems to know where the rumor (story?) got started.
Promoters for the SARStock said yesterday that they were unaware of any Macca show-up, but also said that plans for the eventual lineup for July 30 date were fluid.

Would Mick Jagger want to share the world stage with McCartney? Would Macca bring his band, or just guest with the Stones? Or would he do a little guesting, as well as say, an acoustic set or some similar busking.

Personally, we'll believe it when we see it.

The 12 hour concert, which begins at noon local time Wednesday, will be televised throughout Canada, and will most likely be available Stateside on satellite dish. "
07-28-03 10:31 AM
T&A Sass had a pretty cool disc out about 12 years ago - she has a sorta female Rod Stewart voice...very sexy.
07-28-03 10:39 AM
Joey " Quick, someone steal Heather's peg leg and hold it for ransom...if Paul plays you never see the leg, ah,.. well... alive again!

You know what I mean. "

Nanky ......... When you write like this , I realize why I love you so .

Come to Joey and give him a big hug ................************************************* Young Joey is walking forward and has his arms wide open ready to embrace the Nanky ***************
