Dan So far the Beastie Boys were the best musically but Shakira was still the best visually.

I guess you're right, but I've never been all that particular. Shakira is much more naturally prettier than Paris who is ALL make up. But I like that. I'm Joe sixpack so it doesn't matter. I couldn't afford a girl like Shakira anyway, so you paint the skanks, you marry a slut. You lower your standards until you get off.

I've never read such a load of shite in my life!
Which planet are you from??? You marry a slut? You lower your standards till you get off??? What are you doing on this board? Why don't you try Imamysogynisticfucktard.com instead????

Yes, he is! I discovered John Mayer last week when I went to Madrid, my nephew has a live DVD, this boy is really amazing, locked himself in his bedroom for 9 years to practice the guitar, a bit like Clapton at his most obsessive, and they probably don't come any nerdier, but his music is amazing... And Alicia Keys I've always loved, I suppose she deserved to be mentioned by Bob Dylan.....

Dan It's amazing how huge the Foo Fighters are in ENgland. I saw them on their first tour at the Palace opening for Mike Watt and they were just okay. I used to love Smashing PUmpkins but couldn't get into it, probably because of the conspicuous absense of James and Darcy.

I am at my mom's for the weekend and they were off at a wedding so I was totally blasting it all day while spending a lot of time in the office at the computer. For Bon Jovi, rather than go in there and turn it down I just shut the door to the office and also went into the backyard for awhile. Now the neighbors are going to think the folks are Bon Jovi fans, or even worse, raised a Bon Jovi fan.

Maybe I am in a weird mood or my standards are going downhill but I enjoyed almost everything today. The reciever is broken and the DVD player isn't hooked up to the TV and I couldn't get the computer to go loud enough for the Jesus Lizard DVD which briefly made me psychotically insane, but I calmed down a bit when Spinal Tap came on.

I liked Duran Duran.

mrhipfl I liked almost everything I saw as well. Bon Jovi was a complete bore. Highlights were Wolfmother and Gimme Shelter.

TomL I don't like country but Kieth Urban doing Gimmee Shelter was a great move.

Roger Waters was very good I thought also. I give the asshole award to Bon Jovi and Sting.

I know what you mean about the Foo. My son playes on a travel soccer team and there names are the Foo Fighters. Well Grol sponsers them from time to time, he went to school with our coach.

I agree, you Virginia Fucker.
Urban is a hottie. I can see why Nicole Kidman nabbed his ass.

Back to the song.
Great choice.
Guitar, especially the intros, were SOLID.

My only regret...sorry Alicia Keyes, but Lisa could blow you clear across the Stadium with HER version!!

Senator Gore: Thank you very much, Mr. Chairman. I found your statement very interesting and, ah, let me say although I disagree with some of the statements that you make and have made on other occasions, I have been a fan of your music, believe it or not. And I, I, ah, respect you as a true original and a tremendously talented musician

mickmask Help!
Al Gore has my cousin and won't give him back!
My cuz works as a Canadian diplomat and Enviromental advisor. So last week his boss calls him in and has a request from big Al for him to accompany him to Paris for the green summit as he needs a translator that knows what he's talking about.
So I ask if he went to any of the concerts...nah..he didn't have time for that.
Could've at least got me some tix to NY. Pffft...
