He had a stroke not too long after his gastric bypass surgery. He had lost an awful lot of weight in a short period of time, unlike Carnie Wilson's "gastric bypass gone awry!" I often wonder why Carnie gained so much weight again - even before she was pregnant. She should sue her physicians.

Most of the obese people who opt for gastric bypass haven't even tried exercising and healthy eating. It is a lifestyle change, and they don't understand that, and are unwilling to get off their fat asses and exercise. They want us to feel sorry for them. Well, I don't! They've already put their bodies through a lot of strain, and gastric bypass surgery is not easy on the body.

Very risky, but wonderful when it works(see Al Roper). 6 yrs ago I represented the family of a woman who died after a Tummy Tuck....she hemoraged and bled to death....

Al Roker looks funny though.
I know a lady who went in for gastric bypass a couple of years ago. Well, the doctor didn't even order a standard (or what I consider a MUST before any surgery) chest x-ray. It turned out she had pneumonia, which they discovered only mid-surgery. So, they had to stop operating and put her on antibiotics, etc...
She was in the hospital for months with a horrible infection in her large intestines.
Over the last couple of years, she has undergone many surgeries to repair all of the damage.
And she's still fat.

gypsy Yes, she has a good attorney. But she is still sickly. I don't know what the status of her lawsuit is right now. She lives in Missouri.

Yes, Randy Jackson had gastric bypass.

Ugh! They look like men, no?
Well, Serena fancies herself a fashion designer! I don't know which is worse.
Have you seen how Serena dresses?! She makes it into Us Weekly's Worst Dressed List every single week.
