No, it was the night after Thanksgiving. Tix were a grand & the show was (for me) rather lackluster. The next night at MGM was much, much better.
29th June 2006 01:14 PM
monkey_man I remember it being talked about as if it was going to be a private gig cause I thought about heading down there for that one. Musta been the dough that made me say no!
29th June 2006 01:32 PM
glencar They did one a few weeks earlier that month for a private party. Same place but they did a 16 song set. It was some plutocrat's birfday.

GotToRollMe I still kick myself in the ass daily for not seeing them all the times I had a chance to in the '70s. The only '70s show I caught was The New Barbarians at MSG in '79. Aside from that:

Shea Stadium 1989
Giants Stadium 1997
MSG 1/14/98
MSG 1/16/98
MSG 1/17/98
MSG 1/18/06

Not nearly enough.

The best performance from the Stones that I've ever seen was at Giants Stadium, '94. However, the '03 show in Spain has sentimental value -- I was on my honeymoon.
30th June 2006 11:33 AM
glencar Dublin 03 was my favorite show.

StickyFishFingers You lucky buggers - the benefits of living in the US or Europe. I've seen the Stones each time they've toured Australia since the Voodoo Lounge World Tour.

Perth 1995
Do soundchecks count? if so the soundcheck at Enmore Theatre the night before THE Enmore gig in 2003 They jammed for about 2 hours - probably coz Mick wasn't there to keep things to a minimum
