Sir Stonesalot I went out to get Johnny's "When The Man Comes Around". Listened to The Sex Pistols Filthy Lucre on the drive over. Listened to Johnny on the way home.

Oh my GOD! Johnny's album is STUNNINGLY brilliant. I had to turn it off after "Danny Boy". I just couldn't handle it. And I never thought I'd say this but....someone finally did a Beatles song better than the Beatles. Johnny Cash does a simply PERFECT version of "In My Life". I almost cried. Almost.

Flea...I don't know if you are ready for this one. It is gut-wrenching.

Everyone...go buy this:
Johnny Cash, American IV: When The Man Comes Around

This will clearly be the album to beat for best of 2003.

Martha Shit, I can see I'm late getting in on this conversation. Today I took my niece, (who's visiting for spring break) to visit a girlfriend wqho has 14 month old twins today and in the vehicle we listened (because I HAD to hear these) Sticky Fingers. I kept asking her (she's almost 15 if she recognized any of the tunes...she did...sigh of relief) then on to Green Grass and High Tides..we got to sing together on that one...I Can't Get No Satisfaction ...then on to Some Girls..which she loved! She laughed at several of the lines...such as...."when the shit hits the fan, I'll be sittng on the can". And.... "American girls want everything in the world you can possibly IMAGINE"...and "black girls want to Bleep all night...I just dont' have that much JAM! LOL

Now we are home and listening to Elvis's ELV1S 30 number one hits....she knows most of them too. Dinner music.

It ended and Dylan just popped up...Love and Theft.

Twiddle Dum and Twiddley Dee.

I have am now looking for the same size CD changer that Maxy has. Thanks for the heads up! Is it custom or did you find it at H.H. Gregg? LOL

Your days are numbered...so are mine.

sirmoonie Richard Pryor's Bicentennial Nigger

Pryor is a national treasure, IMHMFO, N!

He's probably in a bunch of dead pools right now, but I for one, will miss this comic genius when he is gone.

Haven't seen him since Denver when he was wearing those mauve suspenders. Maybe he really did "shoot the moon"?

Joey " Haven't seen him since Denver when he was wearing those mauve suspenders. Maybe he really did "shoot the moon"? "

Moonie ..................did you mention Denver ????

THAT's IT !!!!! Know you have really got me Homesick !

I think I will break out into song :

" Five names that I can hardly
Stand to hear
Including yours and mine
And one more chimp who isn't here
I can see the ladies talking
How the times are getting hard
And that fearsome excavation
On Arapahoe Boulevard

And I'm going insane
And I'm laughing at the frozen rain
And I'm so alone
Honey when they gonna send me home
Bad sneakers and a Pia Colada
My friend
Stompin' on the avenue
By the Hard Rock with a
Transistor and a large
Sum of money to spend "

Sniff.............................

Joey !

Yes, I too am a little homesick for the Mile High City and its streets awash in chiba, liquor, and the fine stench of thoroughbreds.

Hey Joseph, check out these pro-Iraqi Stones promoting their commie tripe again. I can't see how some people on this board can stand to listen to them after this.
