Jeep French national radio "France Inter" just announced that Keith Richards can't return on stage before 8th July.

They said also that the fall from the palm tree was a kind of luck for KR because doctors found with the exams that a blood clot was in his skull before the fall and this blood clot will be possibly fatal without surgery.

Stones postpone two Paris concerts
(Tuesday May 23, 2006 11:45 AM)

The Rolling Stones have indefinitely postponed two Paris concerts, scheduled for June 3 and July 2 at the Stade de France stadium, French organisers have said.

Plans for a concert on August 8 in the French Riviera city of Nice were maintained.

Organisers said they had no immediate information on replacement dates for the Paris gigs.

Grizzled guitarist Keith Richards, 62, was injured on April 27 in Fiji.

News reports variously claimed that he fell out of a palm tree or from a jet ski.

Richards later had surgery in Auckland, New Zealand, to relieve pressure in his head.

The Stones' official fan Web site said in a statement on Monday that Richards had returned to the US, where he lives, and "is feeling great, happy to be home and looking forward to getting back on the road with the Rolling Stones next month".

It added that a revised tour schedule would soon be announced.

LadyJane It certainly doesn't look good.

I also think its WELL OVERDUE to have an official statement from The Rolling Stones.

When they want our money, we get Julliard and bombardment of emails from rs.com. Now...silence. Outrageous. And don't give me the bullshit that it's too early.

MICK.

COHL.

ITS TIME FOR An OFFICIAL PRESS CONFERENCE.

I agree, LJ. I HATE to say this, but the most likely
reason for the silence is that they are figuring out
how to cancel/refund shows. If they were sure the
shows would go on, they would have come out very
strongly to assure ticket holders and potential
ticket buyers of this fact. If they were trying to
save the tour, Mick and Cohl would be trying very
hard at this point. They would be issuing statements
and holding press conferences as well as using RS.com
to blast e-mails all over us. I hope I'm wrong.

I think at this point things are really uncertain - hence the lack of information. That said, I do believe they are trying to figure a way to reschedule the shows - otherwise they would just offer the refunds right away. We're talking about 15 different gigs, 15 different venues and 15 different dates that they all need to be connected, figure out the traveling days etc. It is a nightmare for the people doing the logistics, so it's only reasonable it's taking them so long.

I get frustrated by all the lack of information, but I honestly couldn't expect anything better at this stage. It is of the Stones / Cohl's best benefit too, to announce the new dates, so I think we will have them soon enough.

Monkey Woman Being on the very outer edge, as fans, of the information loop is a pain, these days. And the communication of venues, ticket sellers, etc. is a shame. Even worse than the RS.com!
