remember it? It was the closest I've ever came to having a cardiac arrest! The hair on the back of my neck stood up as soon as I read your post reminding me of it. As it always does every time I hear the noise from the crowd on the recording.

The most dramatic, jaw dropping "holy fuck" moment at any show I've ever witnessed. Grown men were hugging each other and crying with disbelief.

rolling vince FLF is a very motivated fanclub!

Great to see how they want to create a unique concept for the Dutch part of the European leg of the ABB tour.

Looking forward for one nice week in Amsterdam...

thejuf Are you talking pot here?
I am a frequent visitor at the Bimhuis myself, but I never smell/smoke anything during gigs.
I think smoking is forbidden during gigs, but one can smoke in the restaurant/bar.

yes. Specifically the pre-rolled mushroom joints (only in Amsterdam baby!)

I suggest purchases a few of these and smoking them at the bar during Tim Ries' show. Bernard will be frequenting the bar on his singing breaks thru out the show (see Jazz Standard/Blue Smoke NYC '06). Be sure to offer him a smoke. He is very nice and loves the herbs.

thejuf you won't regret this Dizzy!
with such a name you are OBLIGED to go to the jazziest venue in town, the Bimhuis.

for your information: the musicians who are in Charlie Watts' jazzband are frequently invited to play there.
Such as Gerard Presencer (8 June), Evan Parker (last March) and Peter King on alto (October 2006). Peter is musical leader of the CW Tentet .
I never miss any of his Dutch gigs. He is soooooo good!

I saw Tim play his RS Project in NY : fabulous! Come and see for yourself!
