Love the obscurity of some of your lists. Seems half the Rolling Stones make them easily
I'd say, with no particular order of preference:
1. Freddie Mercury - cause I really had a big thing for Queen between the ages of 13 and 18.
2. George Harrisson & John Lennon - my two favorite Beatles, mainly cause they were less Beatlesque
3. Kurt Cobain - To see if he was half as moody as everyone seems to think he was, all of the time, and figure out some questions of my own.
4. Brian Jones - Well, for all the obvious reasons. Don't you think many aspects of his life bear a strong resemblance to that of Cobain's? Both tallented, brilliant, beautiful, cursed in a sort of way, and with an ambigous ending right at their 27. Weird.
5. Jimi Hendrix - Cause I'd love to catch a live gig.

I've been very lucky as far as meeting some of my favorite rockers, but here are a few I never got the chance to meet and would love to:
Jimi Hendrix (number one, without a doubt)
Keith Moon
Jim Morrison
Janis Joplin
John Lennon (I saw him on the street once but didn't want to bug him; now I wish I had)
I'm sure there are more, but I just woke up and my brain isn't working at full capacity yet.

1. Frank Sinatra-not a rock star, still want to meet him.
2. Brian Jones-a very talented musician
3. John Lennon/George Harrison
4. Jerry Garcia-what was all the mystique about?
5. Layne Staley-I'd try to reason with him, which would be an exercise in futility.
6. Pete Doherty--ditto #5. |

Frank Zappa. I'd like to get an accurate assessment of GWB from Frank because I think I'd feel the same way. |
