Bitch Not hippies, but non-conformists. Original ultimate cool with an "I dont give a shit what you think" attitude!

Don't get me wrong, the hippie ideals may have worked, had they not have become drug addicts and an exploited major fashion/marketing SELLOUT... Then halloween costumes.

A friend of mine who also attends the Oregon Country Fair (where the photo of the wife and I was taken) teaches at a middle school in California. A few Fairs ago, she was talking about "hippie day" at her school, when the kids dress up in wigs, sandals, headbands, etc. She said she told her class that being a hippie wasn't just a fashion statement. "Yeah," I responded, "it's not just a fashion statement . . . It's a drug habit!"

BTW, well done on taking a sincere (I won't say "serious") approach to psychedelic use. Back when I was selling acid in the early 70s, I looked on my role as a sort of priest or shaman. I would never give the stuff to someone I didn't think could handle it and I always advised to use it in a sacred manner.

That's exactly how I use my cigarettes.
