nanatod Ten Thousand, it is the Cowsills, not the Cow Sills, because Cowsill was their real last name.

Also, you can trace the history of power pop through the three (and counting) marriages of Susan Cowsill.

glencar Who'd she marry?

nanatod First, Dwight Twilley ("I'm on Fire," "Twilley Don't Mind").

Second, Peter Holsapple (founded the dB's, auxiliary REM member, auxiliary Blowfish, founded the Continental Drifters with Susan Cowsill).

Third, Russ Broussard (former Continental Drifters drummer).

I've seen the Continental Drifters live five times; they can be the best band in the world when they are live, especially due to the interaction between Cowsill and Vicki Peterson. I highly recommend "Mixed Messages"(performed by Vicki Peterson), "Christopher Columbus Transcontinental Highway" and "The Rain Song."

Wow, that's a lot of semi-famous names!

Glencar, if Joey saw Vicki Peterson wearing a mini skirt and playing "Mixed Messages" live, he might have to abandon his Paris Hilton fixation.

Break The Spell After posting to my original list, no one has mentioned Dead Boy and the Elephant Man, The Bears, Dead Horse or Glass Tiger. :} The cowsills were hilarious, they were never a true threat to The Partridge Family's throne.
