Its a good ploy. Probably will work. If security aint too anal, maybe the nose bleeders will be allowed down a tier or two in the stands once the show is going.
As you all know, (as Uncle Corgi puts on his comfy slippers and lights his pipe to tell the kiddies - you guys - a story) I was in the equal of those $35 seats at the WHO in 04. My noggin was resting on a fucking pipe!
By encore, i was 3 rows from the front. My ear hairs melting!
