LOL I know that, in fact in the previous tour (1991) the sound was terrible and I couldn't identify the songs, even "Like a Rolling Stone", Dylan was upset about the sound and he transmitted that to his band so both the sound and the performance were below standards |

Probably we won't get the lyrics of "Romance en Durango" either LOL
Durango is a beautiful state in the north of Mexico, not in the border but in the north, there are some mistakes in the lyrics as the Aztecs never were part of the State of Durango so there are no Aztec ruins there and the Spanish lyrics make no sense at all but who gives a fuck anyway.
I love Bob singing in Spanish, will he? |

According to Howard Sounes' excellent "Down The Highway" biography which came out about 7 years ago, he owns something like 17 properties, and even a coffeeshop in Santa Monica. Since then, he's even bought a luxury home(which was previously available for wedding parties etc) with his brother in the Scottish highlands - rumour has it he may have finally spent some time in it over New Year.
Considering he plays around 100 shows a year and seems to be on the road so often, it makes you wonder what he's doing it for. |

Cant see why. His European audiences dont seem to have that problem, considering he's toured there at least once every year since 1989.

I must have strange ears, because I find his enuncuation completely audible and intelligible. I can understand that argument if it was 1991-92 or so when his singing was particularly garbled (probably due to a sizeable whisky intake) but certainly not now.
He DOES find novel ways of reworking and rearranging his older material at times to keep them fresh, which may catch the unitiated unawares at first - but thats a good way to me of keeping them fresh and is the true sign of a performing artist, rather than just attempting to replicate a studio recording 30 or 40 years later.

Two.
Sarah Lowndes from 1965-77 and his backing singer Carolyn Dennis from 1986-92.
Incredibly, he managed to keep his second marriage a secret until about 1999.
He doesnt exactly give much away about his family in his autobiography, does he? |

To honor the visit of Bob Dylan to tour Mexico after 17 years I want to share this song that meant a lot to me when Desire was released as Bob is not just singing in Spanish (some portions of the songs) but using local sound and music roots. Still love this song, hope he plays this one in one of the six shows here or in one of the other shows in the LA tour.
So here’s the music and the lyrics highlighting some of the portions sung in Spanish

Took me years to know what Jagger was singing about on Exile. I never really needed to understand the words to like a song, but I guess it helps. I do like plenty of songs because of the way it's being sung and never knowing the words. |

A lot more expensive. Bob shows in the UK last year were £32.50 and £37.50 (US $70 - 80)
The final US shows last year - in a theatre in Chicago - had prices at $87, 67 and 47.
If you look at the tour info from last year, you'll see ticket prices at some venues as low as $27.50
http://my.execpc.com/~billp61/dates26.html#1028
I'm assuming most tickets for Mexico are in category 3 and maybe there's a sort of special/elite deal for the top prices to make the trip financially viable.
