At www.MaxLugar.com , the Website's creator has slipped into a steely donnishness. Every one of www.MaxLugar.com 's applets is austere and erudite. And, as you might guess from that description, the site is not much fun. The only reason to bring up fun, of course, is to remind ourselves that it was Maxy who masterminded such supple pop-rock posts as “ Some Thoughts ” and “ SomeThoughts II " ( circa 1999 / 2000 respectively ) .
www.MaxLugar.com is crippled by its creators’ arrogance. Max has often been arrogant in entertaining and stylish ways -- but , more often that not , he managed to twist his mouth into an inclusive smile and to enjoin the audience to smirk along at whatever he was railing against. Maxy's work now mimics a dentist’s drill in pitch and intensity. The reward to the reader who accustoms himself to this posting style is the extraordinary number of vapid posts that Max can spew forth at random .
But now a lot of this creative arrogance is directed at the audience. www.MaxLugar.com abounds in authentic Maxyisms --But these once-useful trademark tricks are now employed as curt signposts to indicate whence the improvisation emanates and whither the post is leading. It is as if The Maxlugar , his patience infinite , knows that we , Rolling Stones' fans that we are , must be guided gently through their amazing new revelations. This is condescending.
For such a meticulously made Website , www.MaxLugar.com yields little more that its makers’ seriousness of purpose.
In short, www.MaxLugar.com is boring.
I Thank You All For Your Time Today !

That was fun to read. Joey can still put up a "fight". But your still left wondering, is that all there is? The sudden departure of jb has left Joeys posting seeming as of late a little too contrived. There is not much left to work with. I read a comparison to Dave vs. Sammy VH. He being more of the Sammy era since jb left him. It's worse than that, a Gary Cherone VH comparison is more applicable. Only time will tell if Joey can rebound, but this hurt cut him too deeply. What we are left with is what we got. Joey, I know your in there. C'mon back! Lawn season is just around the corner and Joey does some good thinking working in the yard. And besides, he's pacing himself. |

I am back. For those who you of whom are concerned, i will summarize my trip for you so that you are all up to speed:
Sunday 5 AM I have arrived at CHicago's O'Hare Airport. Due to the liquor laws in chicago, i am unable to have Irish coffee for breakfast and have to settle for coffe and fruit salad.
Sunday 6AM I have boarded my plane first, riding in first class of course, after we had taken off, i was offered a black russian drink to substitute my morning coffee and i sat back and enjoyed a fine movie on my laptop: "Boiler Room" for those following along at home.
Sunday afternoon: Upon checking into my two room suite in the La Quinta Inn and Suites (yes, i was dissappointed too, but Joey will be pleased to know that there were french doors entering to the crapper), I planned my transportation to the Orlando Convention Center so that I may display my products in booth #949. I stopped for a quick lunch at "cricketeers Arms" and had Cottage Pie with 3 Indian Pale Ale Draft Beers, total tab $25.67
Sunday Evening: I took a Taxi back from the convention center to my hotel ($6.00) where I changed into more appropriate attire to meet my colleague back at "cricketeers Arms". After expressing utter disgust in the choice of the La Quinta ($149 per night), This round of Indian Pale Ale (to be referred to from now on as IPA) was picked up by him. I met some fellow conferees that evening and dined at "The Butcher Shop" where i had a Caesar Salad, Baked Potato, and Cajun STyle Ribeye prepared between medium rare and Medium. To Drink I enjoyed a Beefeater Martini up with a twist. Dinner tab was $54.71
Monday: The conference began at 9am and I sent out one of my reps to bring back coffee and espresso to the booth (six coffees, 6 muffins, two espressos, $34) The morning was very productive as we met with numerous clients and have began the process of setting up distrubion in Mexico and Central America. Much of the same in the evening. After the conference, we again headed Directly to the "Cricketeers Arms" for 7 IPA's (Tab $53 plus tip). My colleague retired to his room and I went to Maria's Mexican Kitchen with my manufacturers from India. Due to the success of our sales efforts, the tab was picked up by them. I enjoyed Zapata Soup and Chicken Enchiladas. My first mistake was switching from Negro MOdelo to Black Russians. I stumbled upon an outdoor bar (which turned out to be the other side of Cricketeers arms where i enjoyed a few more IPAs before opting for the safety of my hotel.
Tuesday Morning: Not good. Extremely hungover, i headed for my charter bus to the convention center. As I was walking towards the bus, i was really hoping that while i was gone, Kent had apologized to Josh and all was well at RO. Obviously distracted, i tripped over the curb and smashed my head on the concrete. Knowing that i had a meeting at 930, i was forced to head back to my suite to assess the damage. A large cut on my upper cheek and a "boxer's cut" above my eye where my prescription eyeglasses had penetrated the skin. I carried on best as i could, closing several cash generating deals and skipped lunch. After the show we went to TOny ROma's Ribs, which might I add was a disappointment after enjoying ribs in chicago for many years. i enjoyed a garden salad, Roma Rack of ribs, and a baked potato with a beefeater martini up with a blue cheese olive, bill for 4, $153. Straight to bed at this point.
Wednesday Morning: Feeling refreshed, I had a successfull day on the trade show floor, enjoyed a rosemary and lemon chicken sandwich with a side of cucumber sauce ($12.95). We have reached an agreement to import a line of educational grade balances and scales. This should add to the bottom line significantly. Dinner was at "Fish Bones" with some dear family of mine from the Orlando Area. We waited for our seat in the bar area (3 black russians, 3 dogfish lagers, and one Cosmo). I picked up the bar tab, $46. We were seated I enjoyed a fine 16 oz. Prime Rib with baked potato and side salad. Tab was $123 for Three, very reasonable for this level of dining. Wound update: the bleeding has subsided and the dizziness no longer remains. On the way back to the hotel, i stopped at the Cricketeer for 3 more IPAs (tab 16.78).
Thursday morning involved packing my belongings, and heading to the convo center to finish up any loose ends. Business was well and I enjoyed another ROsemary Lemon Chicken Sandwich. I donated all of our display equipment to the underprivleged schools of Florida. The tax advantage of this is amazing, and it helps out those in need. Off to the Airport. I was utterly disgusted to see that Orlando did not have a "first class" line to get through security and i had to wait much too long. My flight however, was delayed for an hour. I sat in seat 2A. I enjoyed a black russian and a Stoli on the rocks. When we reached Chicago, i noticed a large amount of emergency vehicles circling the runway. In a frightening moment, i was notified that one of the engines had failed and we were being granted a full emergency landing. Had something happened, i would have never been able to tell Joey goodbye! My limo dropped me off at home at 10:15 (limo charge $56). It was Molly's birthday (my beloved pug) and i had not forgotten, I obtained a "dog friendly" bone from the Fish Bones REstaurant for her. My wife and young son were happy to have me home and i missed them as well. I hope this brings you all up to speed. And i pledge myself assisting Joey in "the good fight"
Feel free to direct any questions you may have to me.
I am back baby! |

I had opted not to, as there was a liquor store accross the street and my suite contained a frige, so i just brought a case of Harp, a bottle of Smirnoff, and some Diet Sprite for my absorbtion. |
