Congratulations on 1000!!!
To me, it would be the three shows I went to: the two Atlanta shows and the Charlotte show where the Stones opened their new arena (really beautiful place- will have to go back there again sometime in the future).
All three of the shows were great and there was a lot of variety in the setlist so I wasn't seeing the exact same show every time out. I was quite pleased with the performances. Mick, Keith, Charlie, Ronnie & supporting cast- MANY THANKS. You may have taken a huge bite out of my wallet but, hey, to me, it was worth every penny. Thanks for the memories. Really had a blast. You guys really put on some great shows this tour.
In particular, thanks for that second Atlanta show which in my view ranks as the second or possibly third best show I've ever seen the STONES put on.
Hope to see you guys again real soon. How about coming back for a third show this fall???

What a great thread! Memories of this tour will alst until Alzheimers cruelly robs me of all thought besides the need to pee. Um, Chicago was the first time I met anyone from RO at an official summit. The dinner at Parmeda's place was excellent. Posting from the PC was a panic! Ah, Chess Studios where the history pulsated...
Then NYC. Howe can you top MSG? The first time we were at the place across from Stout's & that was fun but the second time at MSG was even better. I'm just sorry that I opted for Walter's instead of Stout's. It's not even close & like Napoleon's decision to invade Russia at the onset of winter, it will go down in history as a colossal blunder. We did have the subterrean summit & WOw was that fun!
As far as shows, I'm still too close to it all to name one show as a fave over anything else. Ain't Too Proud To Beg, Sway, ATGB, WAY...
London, anyone?

I forgot about ATL. I was at the first show there. Man, that was where I finally met Joshy. After 8 years of sparring & eventually developing a friendship, it was quite nice to finally meet the man behind the legend. |

I can't really explain what my expectations were for this tour, but the gigs and meeting old and new friends from around the world had to have far exceeded anything I imagined.
In some respects it's almost been surreal since I first entered the Stones messageboard world back January '99. The ride has been beyond awesome or any other adjective I can think of at the moment.
I feel like a spoled rug rat, I just don't want it to end. I have to believe there are more live shows for me in the future and/or more meet and greets.
The trip must continue!!

Ronnie came over and showed him how to do it properly.

Great thread topic my Sweet Lady Jane!
Man o' man what a great ride this tour has been for me. While I only caught three shows,I still can honestly say that I was left satisfied.
First show was great at Giants Stadium. Got to meet several Shiddoobees, and my first meetings with Josh,Throbby,Luxury, and Nellcott was great. Plus,at that time,Giants was the best show of the tour to date.
Now for the real treat! Is there a better venue on the planet than Madison Square Garden for the Stones?! I can say unequivically,no! It is the holiest of holies for the band, and their fans. Add the {{{Summitt of the Century}}} to the mix and I can say without a moment's hesitation that this, for me,has been the most enjoyable tour thus far! I got to see some old friends again, and make new ones as well. What a treat to walk into Stout and drink Guinness with the likes of such esteemed A-Listers as Maxlugar,Pdog,Fiji,Gaza,Jaxx,Lady Jane,PartyDoll Meg,Egon,Sir Stonesalot,glencar(Blue),Nanky,SheRat,Josh,Throbby,Luxury,5 String King(my great friend Bob),and others that I am no doubt forgetting.
To walk into this great pub and watch "Ladies and Gentlemen" (provided by one Mr. Maxlugar) on all those plasma screens just a "Stones" throw from MSG was a memory that I will never loose. It was also great to see,and partake with my liberal commie pinko friend FPM with Jaxx!!! j/k bro! Great, great, great!!! It was all great!
One more memory that still makes me laugh out loud is when Lady Jane stopped the girl serving champagne with fresh strawberries in The Garden thinking it was free only to have to dig deep and up the cash! ROTFLMAO!! Welcome to the Big City, girl!! It was real treat helping you pop your Garden cherry!!
Thanks for the memories, and here's to more to come!!

Seeing a outdoor in the front of a tunnel in Rio saying "Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang Tour - Not Just A Concert"
It may looks foolish but this really moved me. It was for real. |

Sir Stonesalot |
So Bruno...where's the picture? You are supposed to take a picture.
I just want to add a special thank you to my special friends that made my most memorable tour moments happen by getting me in the front row.
These people are aces in every way. I hope that some day I can repay them somehow. I just want them to know how special a place they hold with me. They are the best...period.
So here's an artsy-fartsy pic I took that evening, I post it here as my tribute to them.

I continue to suffer from flank pain, chronic IBS, benign fasciculation, and other stress related conditions. This includes rectal irritation, burning sensations upon urination, swollen glands, loose skin, and a very painful bile duct. Lately, this stress has caused scalp twitching, which I fear is a symptom of a major, terminal ailment.

How sad that Joey never left Omaha. To be Omaha'd in Omaha is a depressing thought. Deeply depressing. |
