mac_daddy nice article - but dean needs to have better star-sighting goggles than that. jeez, man - you write for a major news outlet in the city of los angeles... i forgot about the "legs falling off" line. that was all part of the same spiel (where keef commented about the energy - i cited it earlier in the thread).

oh, and a note about the setlist - please dont take what i wrote as gospel. i might have screwed up the order, as i did it by memory. i dont think i forgot a tune, but that could be possible, too. i VIVIDLY remember all the details i wrote, i simply havent seen the setlist confirmed, so please cross-reference before entering the setlist into the db...

@ the one who commented about the quality of the venue - i agree with you. i mean, i used to love going to laker games there, but i havent been in the building for a concert since x opened for pearl jam there sometime in the later 90s (1996 maybe). we must have walked in just after qotsa finished, but damn if it didnt take us 30 minutes to walk around the place to get to my section. now granted, we went the wrong way up the ramp outside, and we made a wrong turn when we went inside, so we basically walked around the whole place, and it took thirty minutes. i remember how sh*tty the bathrooms were, and i didnt have forum club privledges last night (and i dont think it is even there anymore; but back in the showtime days, that was the place to be), so i didnt even try. ditto for food and beer (the lines were atrocious(sp)).the facility is run down, and i guess they dont have much for concerts anymore, because the staff really was not prepared. i can safely say that is likely the last time i will set foot in that building, but what a way to say goodbye!!!

and yes, mick alluding to the 1975 run got a big response. i wonder how many people were there for 75 and 06..?

i still cant get over how great of a show this was!!!!

one for the ages, in my book, at least!!!!!!!!!!!!

LA got "Atlanta'd"

Oh so true, Jumping Jack...Atlanta started it all! Atlanta deserves a fall show in 2006!!!

Jumping Jack When I made comments that Ronnie's playing in Atlanta reminded be of 75, many thought I was nuts, but the magic has been witnessed by others now. 2006 has been a very good year so far.

The boys keep getting better and better, I am really looking foward to RCMH, but fully expect the summit to be the FOX THEATER in Atlnta this fall! WORD!!!

See you all there!

Slavegirl Yea it was me who said the venue was an atrocity...dirty, dingy, and smelly. Yuk! SO Jumacfly...Bon Jovi whaa?? I'm intrigued. Not by the band as much as the possibilities of the comment

mac_daddy we got dead flowers at the bowl, too...

funny - i missed bomh at the forum... that song smokes!!!

11th March 2006 02:52 AM
mac_daddy i am still thinking about this one...

you know - there was some good stuff on 4f, and i guess the copacabana dvd is a done deal, but they should do a dvd of the forum gig: no overdubs, bo edits - just straight up.

they say 16k - that place seemed smaller to me (i was close, but still)...

that gig friggin rocked...

i won my poker game tonight, and am looking into flights to lauderdale...
