I see sasca is as misinformed as ever.
While I think Israel treats the Palestinians worse than guinea pigs, that doesn't have much to do with Saddam. Saddam is an immediate danger & he must go immediately. Maybe President Bush's saber-rattling will cause some Iraqis to take SH out & prevent a war. Maybe. But as a nation of men, we must act like men. Those sissified French & Germans should be ignored, same as always. Get out of the way, gals, America is saving the world once again. |

PS. I have indeed decided to scan those pics for Dandelion*. It is true she reunited me with that long lost book that I loved so much. If I read my C10 Handbook correctly, the C10 espouses integrity (p. 57) and Honor (p. 12). It would be a total adherence to principle if I were to scan those pictures of Mick and Billy. It has an entire chapter (chapter 6) on helping those less fortunate to be a C10er! And what about the children? THE CHILDREN!!!
I'm just going to have to stick to my (and the C10's) moral beliefs and let the chips fall where they may.

It�s right that the US gets less than 5% oil out of Iraq. BUT: US own oil reserves run out in approx. 11 years. So it�s time to look out for future fields. Iraq has the second biggest oil reserves WORLDWIDE (112 Billion Barrel). The US industry depends on the Saudi-Arabian oil. And that�s fucking expensive. So I tell you what�s gonna happen: they bomb Iraq, take Bagdad, install another puppet on a string and get mighty fine cheap oil by pumping that stuff up.
Btw: Saddam was a big friend as long as the US had a problem with Iran. Loads of weapons were sent. There�s even a picture of Donald "Old Europe" Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam in 1983. |

Loads of weapons were sent. French missles, Russian tanks, helos, fighters, APCs, guns, anti-aircraft batteries, and
SCUDS. Germany helped out by sending equipment for Iraqs
Nuke program. TGermany was very helpful with the Nuke program. Odd.
As far as oil, Bush worked out a long term deal with
Russia to replace for the majority Mideast oil. Also, can you say ANWAR and self reliance. How about drilling what
we have

Bush already stated all oil revenues stay in Iraq to rebuild Iraq

Yes, well, this is where that ugly thing called reality sets in. The Sioux could TRY to exterminate us, but they wouldn't get very far.
Like it or not, the reality of the world is "Might makes right". My country has the might. We get to specify what is right. And this has been the way of the world since...well since people started keeping track of history. And guess who gets to write the history? Whomever was strong enough to win.
It is much the same in Israel. Even if all the arab countries could put aside their differences, and join a coalition against Israel...Israel would still kick their asses. I'm not saying that the policy of might makes right is a good one, or fair, or whatever...but it IS reality. And it ain't gonna change any time soon.
You can shout indignant protestations till your voice gives out...and it won't change a thing. Hell, you can fly a 767 into a skyscraper and it won't change things. Reality is what it is.
