pdog I hope they were a worthy cause to give to...
February 9th, 2006 09:36 AM
glencar Very worthy. And most of your ticket price is tax-deductible which will help next year at tax time. A $1000 ticket is $800 of a charitable contribution. Not bad.
February 9th, 2006 09:49 AM
throbby According to their website 100% of your donation is used toward helping fight different aspects of poverty in NYC. The administrative and fundraising costs to run the orginization are picked up by the Robin Hood board of directors.

glencar Joey, part of me fears we may get "Omaha'd" because it's a charity show. The only way to prepare for that is to get totally plastered hours before the show, right?

Sadly Blue , I shall not leave Nebraska this tour but .........

W- W- W- What ?!?! ..... Oh , sure :

" There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare.

It is only one who is thoroughly acquainted with the evils of war that can thoroughly understand the profitable way of carrying it on.
[That is, with rapidity. Only one who knows the disastrous effects of a long war can realize the supreme importance of rapidity in bringing it to a close. Only two commentators seem to favor this interpretation, but it fits well into the logic of the co ntext, whereas the rendering, "He who does not know the evils of war cannot appreciate its benefits," is distinctly pointless.] "

That's why the mezzanines will be more fun than the floor for this particular concert!

My e-mail from RH Foundation said "8 p.m. SHARP". Does that mean they are forcing us to watch Sheryl Crow?
