Since I live in Pennsylvania--home to Hershey's--this may be heresy to say but English chocolate (e.g. Cadbury) is SO MUCH BETTER than U.S. chocolate. (And I don't mean the Cadbury licensed to Hershey's for production and sale over here.)
Why? We Americans put WAX in our chocolate bars!
Did any American Rocks Offers sample the chocolate when they saw the Stones in the U.K. ? Do you know what I'm talking about? The quality of English dairy must also account for the tastier chocolate bars (the cream left in the milk).
My fellow Americans, support my political platform to get the wax out of our chocolate!
[The Germans know something about good chocolate too. Fortunately we can find it unwaxed at the local Aldi stores in Pennsylvania.]
Stones Content: Try an English Mars Bar -- SO MUCH RICHER & TASTIER! |

Pittsburgh had this as hometown chocolate manufacturer until the 1990s:

Come now, Winslow, both our teams our out of the playoffs. We currently have bitter cold weather in Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Let's put our differences aside and share some chocolate fondue...

No doubt about it - British chocolates RULE.

I've got a little habit going with those French LU cookies at the moment. God, they're lethal.

I love dark chocolate---not terribly dark...maybe 60% cacao. It's good for you too, in small doses.... Does Britain have dark chocolate too? I do like Aero bars... |

Go Romney!
I love Hershey's & don't get to eat much Brit chocolate but I did buy a Cadbury's bar whilst in Dublin last August. I shall give this theory a taste run & report the results tomorrow. |
