Topic: Four Flicks Hidden Stuff Return to archive Page: 1 2
12-29-03 01:00 PM
Soul Survivor From what I can gather, so far here is some hidden stuff on the Four Flicks DVD's that work.

1. This isn't really a hidden feature, but if you watch the MSG show, right before Keith does 'Thru and Thru' Charlie can be seen picking his nose

2. On disc 1 (the documentary disc), highlight the word 'Extras'. Then press UP on your remote. It will play a clip of Keith telling how he wrote 'Tumbling Dice'.

.....

I'm sure there are more, so if you know of anymore, post them! In the mean time, keep looking for them. www.rollingstones.com claims they will reveal some in time. I wonder if there are any DVDrom features?

Soul Survivor We can also list Fuck ups.

So far I have found...

1. On the theater show, disc 4, Charlie fucks up the first drum part of 'Stray Cat Blues'.

2. On the theater show, disc 4, Mick fucks up the lyrics to 'Hand Of Fate'. It's during the Bridge part

List more!

jb The horrible renditions of HOF and Heartbreaker at the club show...why in gods name would they include those horrible performances....

T&A from what I understand from inside sources, those performances were included just to irritate you, Josh.

Trust me, that is not the only stuff that went wrong at this club show.
12-29-03 04:32 PM
Soul Survivor Olympia has an awesome rendition of "That's How Strong My Love Is"
12-29-03 04:34 PM
jb I can't watch any of that performance...Twickenham and MSG are O.K.-but the club show was a real embarrassment to any true fan...

SirMuddy What's wrong with Olympia?
I'm still blast by it!

You know, there's some fuck up, errors,
but I'm happy they haven't clean it...
They could have choose a better performance for almost each song, but they choose to let it rock...
They choose to be human,
and this is why they blast me,
and why I still love them...
They're the soundtrack of my life (where are you skippy?)
and, just like my life, it's not perfect
but it still fucking rock...

Hand of fate (Mick is the absolute Actor)
Heartbreaker (Keith's fingers are on the joint most of the time, and I'm HAPPY with him)
Stray Cat blues... (it was a good joint)
Worried about you... (a fuckin' good one)
That's how strong my love is (Micky's Heart's Back!)
Look at Keith's eyes in NEARNESS OF YOU,
tout près de moi, One Luv!

and the holy grail of it all,
it's Mick & Keith backstage between "Before they make me run" and "Love Train"! They have good times, and I'm happy for the, Happy to see it...

I was crowned with a spike right thru my head...
But it's all right now, I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash
It's a gas! Gas! Gas!

Yesss... you have it all on four flicks, true rock'n'roll!
Maybe some mystakes but so much HEART!
I'm your lover baby thru & thru!

May Jah Bless and Keep you always...
Forever Stone

Some Guy I guess the bad shows and fuck ups are HIDDEN on my flicks cause its all good!

I KNOW they are human . .
AND I KNOW they ruin intros and songs more often than any other band . .
You can have your beloved fxxx ux performances on many many gigs and boots.
BUT on such a big thing as FF I would have prefered if they'd taken their much better versions from other dates at least now and than.
There are much better versions of Hand of Fate and Dance for expl.
I don't need a complete gig always and by all means.
Some better versions interspersed would have made for much more & lasting Audio enjoyment imo !!
(Things like that made YAYa's so great . .)

Steel Wheels People are high on dope if they think there's a problem with the club show. I get my kicks from that disc. Nothing like my band getting strong in front of a strong crowd.
12-29-03 09:18 PM
Some Guy I'm high on dope, yet I don't believe there is a problem at all.
12-29-03 09:20 PM
Steel Wheels Word up! The Stones bring the power.
12-29-03 09:22 PM
Some Guy This is true, I will have to watch some for flicks tonite for sure
12-29-03 10:42 PM

12-29-03 10:42 PM

12-29-03 10:55 PM
JaggaRichards There is nothing to complain about on any disc.
Thank God for The Rolling Stones!

midnightmagic I am amazed of the encore performance of "can't turn me loose" shit it was great- I feel kinda ripped off I made it to the Aragon show and all we get for the encore is the same lame ass version of tumblin dice.
12-30-03 01:13 AM
Soul Survivor I'm telling you

"Thats How Strong My Love Is" from Olympia rocks my world
12-30-03 02:33 AM
Jumacfly yesterday night i watched FF for the 125357878994521 th time, and olympia kicked my ass...if anyone complain about this show then he should buy "let it be naked" and leave us the fuck alone....
Keith solo on "the Nearness of you" brings tears in my eyes everytime i watch it, Mick kicks ass during the whole show, ronnie does great licks on "love train" , watching him during the show is a pure pleasure, and Charlie, the stones car got a f..ing great engine you know!!
cheers
Ju

ps: if you put disc 1 in your dog ass then you got a unplugged version of you got me rocking...

FotiniD Still bored at work, so here's what I found on the internet.

On Dics 1, chose the "watch all" for Bootlegs. Don't press "Main Menu" to go back, but the menu button of your remote and there you go (supposedly, I haven't tried this out yet!): Mick and Elisabeth at the Wiltern.

Then on Disc 4 watch all the credits, past the legal announcement and you can hear Ronnie and Jo at the Olympia during band introductions.

Can't wait to go back home today

By the way, what are the folks at rs.com waiting for? Why don't they just make a beautiful announcement revealing the easter eggs (you know, like the ones with "super sales offer" they keep sending us!!!!)? It's not something you can easily find on your own for crying out loud!
12-30-03 04:29 AM
egon hidden extras?

i paid 60 fucking euros for the damn thing, so i do not think that i should be having to look for any hidden stuff!

Joey

Plan on watching " Four Flicks " in its entirety New Years Eve ( Amateur Night ) . So far Twickenham is the best disc out of the bunch but I get a Hard On whenever the boys play " Worried About You " live in concert so Olympia is always close to the vest .

For long lost Baby Steelie : " Stones Rule You Bastards ! "

Jacky !

UGot2Rollme I like Twix the best too and the Wild Horses / YCAGWYW combo is sublime
