White House Lawn I came up with a playlist of Ten Essential Albums for my iPod. My rules were: One album per artist and no compilations, "greatest hits" or boxed sets--it has to be an actual "album." Here's my list:

LOL--very true, Kath!

I had to limit my list to one per artist, otherwise it would have been all Stones, Dylan and Bowie! Likewise, I eliminated "Greatest Hits" and compilations--otherwise my list would be overloaded with the latest Chess compilations of Muddy, Check Berry, Howlin' Wolf, etc.

I'm enjoying seeing other's non-Stones picks--I might have to check out the albums that I don't have. I also might "copy" off of FM and change my Dylan pick to "Highway 61" ("Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" could well be my favorite Dylan tune).
