'Twas the week before Labor Day , I slept like a log.
I suddenly awoke , I heard a sound through my fog .

I got out of bed with a yawn and a stretch.
Was hungover as hell ( go figure ) , I felt I might retch.

Then I heard it again as I approached the stair .
Was it a lion , a tiger or a rabies - infected bear

I ran with a dither , a pom - pastily klither !
A slither , a twither , a kinky kink kinko kinkly bo-bither !

I went to the kitchen ; it was there that I saw ....
A Bright Light shining from under the cellar door !

I slowly opened the door and crept fast down below.
The Stones were playing loud on the Stereo !!!

I rounded the corner and froze with a stare .
There was my girlfrined , a-rockin' to A Brussels Affair !

I could tell by her laughter she'd been at it awhile.
Her face full of joy and a permanent smile.

She was dancing and singing and spilling her drink.
She was jumping and spinning , her face turning PINK !

I said , " Baby slow down !!!! " with concern in my speech.
As my own nasty hangover did temporarily teach.

With red eyes and rum breath she paused on her feet.
She brayed : " I have got a new catch phrase , and I will often repeat :

" Now Wyman , now Taylor , Watts , Richards and Jagger !!!
On Miss You , on Bitch , on Rocks Off and Shattered !!! "

I led her upstairs and took her to bed .
The blinds still closed ....nothing more needs to be said .
