J.J.Flash Wow, what a setlist.... Neighbours.......and of course the best part....they also included Midnight Rambler again......
I know it was only 19 songs without another long song like CYHMK, if you consider they play CYHMK + Midnight Rambler, so the show would be longer too

Gazza >.........something is very noticeably missing on Keef's body?????

yes...flesh. he looks like hes lost about ten pounds since he got to Prague! bloody hell!
07-28-03 07:26 PM
Angiegirl Yeah, SSC, Rik and I had a great time in Prague, very good stadium/field show. Nearness was soooo beautiful again, we were very surprised when Keef said "well, now I gotta do something different right" (right after the 'it's great to be here and I could say it's great to be anywhere' lol).
He is looking too skinny tho, noticed that yesterday afternoon at the Four Seasons hotel when they left for the venue.
Also Neighbours was a surprise and even Wild Horses. When Keef started TD instead of MR, we were yelling and clapping, lol. Way to go Keef. He believed the rest of the band was wrong and not him, so he turned around angrily and took some big steps up to Charlie's drumkit to look at the setlist. Then he saw he was wrong, came back to the edge and threw his hands in the air with an innocent smile. Everyone started clapping and whistling, it was a very funny moment actually.

The sound was fantastic from Ronnie's side FOS where we were. Ronnie and Keef were both very into the show, maybe Keith even more than Ronnie, but it's my first show this tour where both are about equally doing their job.

The birthday singing for Mick didn't really take off, but he got it anyway and thanked us with a little bow and a smile.

I think I was the only one yelling and clapping for Bernard during intros, and we were also the only ones cheering for Chuck, lol. The Czech people don't speak English that well and it was a whole new experience to be in such a crowd, compared to the experienced crowds of Holland/Germany/UK/France etc. They didn't know what to think of those 3 jumping and screaming idiots who were obviously not Czech, . We had a lot of fun.
Long drive back home, but Mark flew thru Germany in 12 hours (incl. 2.5 hours of stops), with an average of 105 km/hour, lol!!!

Anyway, it was great to be there in Prague, great to be anywhere!

Smiling Angiegirl, ready for Rotterdam!! Bring em on. And for those of you going to Toronto: have a great time!
07-28-03 10:38 PM
TheSavageYoungXyzzy Shit. Our boy the Keefster looks incredibly thin.

Look at the shot where he's raising his hand. That gives a new meaning to "flesh hanging off the bones".

I think Keith might be suffering from the same thing a lot of people his age do - he simply stops eating, because he's not hungry. His body needs the nourishment, but his stomach just stops giving the prompts.

-tSYX --- Eat, Keith, Eat! Like, pie! Or something!

Monkey Woman I noticed something else: Mick, Keith *and* Ronnie had blue shirts/jackets!!! Colour-coordination again? Is that a throwback to the ALO days??? LOL!
07-29-03 01:30 AM
Monkey Woman BTW, that was a beautiful review, Angiegirl. Thanks very much for sharing! It seems that the Czech got a hell of a good show.
07-29-03 03:23 AM
peterdv i can only agree with Angie that it was a great show,
we were at Keith's side , somewhat 10th row from the stage, surrounded by Czech , weird experience, there were a lot of people were we were standing didn't understand half of what was going on, there were these guys , of wich i'm sure didn't even know half the songs that were played .....and not a swinning crowd either , rather boring audience,
but my an my wife made that up a bit :-)
what can i say, i loved it when Keith fcked up and like Agnie said was so sure about his playing and then noticed he was wrong, hahaha, big laugh (although again on our side, not much people noticed that )
and great moment too, restart at Happy , when Crazy Ronnie was already fooling aroung and missed it :-)
and when Mick threw-kicked a bottle of water towards Ronnie because he kept playing where he should have stopped LOL

it was fun seeing Keith and Ronnie and Mick teasing and punching each other (esp. Keith and Ronnie) and at one time when Mick was running around grabbing on to Keith chain wich was on his left side hanging down from his pants, damn, if he pulled harder.......

highlights, well, the whole freaking gig as it was my first Licks and it was fun, too bad the the b-stage is so far away when you are frontrow section based..such a nice version of Neighbours (one of my favs...)

it was nice to see in the band intro Mick teasing Charlie again , saying ; maybe Charlie can say something in Czech and then Keith said, yeah Praha LOL

it was great fun and i'm glad i was there and meeting the Dutch connection :-)

ps, we did in 9hrs (with stop ) some 1000km yesterday, nice that you can drive as fast as you want in Germany :-)

cheers
Peter (with not much of a voice today )
