Soldatti According to German press, Mick Jagger arrived to Gelsenkirchen and he will be present on the match. In 1998 the TV showed him several times during the game Argentina-England.

1st July 2006 12:58 PM
FotiniD Just saw the Mickster, just before the extra time was due to begin. Our silly speaker didn't recognize him and just stopped commenting

Pretty in white, and so far the ONLY interesting sight in a rather boring match, if I may say so.

Gazza Mick, with son Jimmy

The equally legendary Franz Beckenbauer is 2 rows in front of Mick, with the blue shirt

MrPleasant I'm telling you people, with the exception of hot oil wrestling, sports are evil: a predictable fachade of egos for massive consumption. They are anti-rock'n'roll par excellence, like Las Vegas.

FotiniD Thanks for the pictures Gazza!

So the shirt was purple Trivial, but I was always complaining about this channel's colors and turns out I was right!

Mister Marvin Middle Class is really in a stew
Wond'rin' what the younger generation's coming to
And the taste of his martini doesn't please his bitter tongue
Blame it on the Rolling Stones.
Blame it on the Stones; blame it on the Stones
You'll feel so much better, knowing you don't stand alone
Join the accusation; save the bleeding nation
Get it off your shoulders; blame it on the Stones
Mother tells the ladies at the bridge club every day
Of the rising price of tranquilizers she must pay
And she wonders why the children never seem to stay at home
Blame it on the Rolling Stones.
Blame it on the Stones; Blame it on the Stones
You'll feel so much better, knowing you don't stand alone
Join the accusation; save the bleeding nation
Get it off your shoulders; blame it on the Stones
Father's at the office, nightly working all the time
Trying to make the secretary change her little mind
And it bothers him to read about so many broken homes
Blame it on those Rolling Stones.
Blame it on the Stones; Blame it on the Stones
You'll feel so much better knowing you don't stand alone
Join the accusation; same the bleeding nation
Get it off your shoulders; blame it on the Stones
Blame it on the stones, blame it on the stones.

MrPleasant When all is said and done, I still think that Back Off Boogalooo is a grea

When all is said and done, I still root for Germany. Where else can you find all those drugs, the musical culture and the wacky sex?

F505 Who is that hooligan right from Mick?
1st July 2006 04:26 PM
F505 By the way the Dutch commentator recognised Mick but the only thing he could say was: 'Voor de muzikale noot' (don't know how to translate this!)

gotdablouse ouch Mick looks about 20 years older than in 1998 ! James takes after Jerry or is it me ?
1st July 2006 06:15 PM
Soldatti Mick looks great actually, the last pic must be after the penalties.
1st July 2006 06:24 PM
Gazza Going by what Jimmy and the lady in front are doing, it would appear that Mick has just "let one go"...

Must have been during the penalty shoot out....

Incidentally - Jimmy is wearing a Neil Young t-shirt. "Rust Never Sleeps"!
