ListenToTheLion I think that's a good analysis from The Savage. Keith and Ron still have their moments but they can't peak night after night anymore. It is of course a little alarming. In fact it means the end is in sight. It also means the Stones can't do it without the backing stuff. Maybe on a press conference but not night after night. So I am afraid we have to meet and greet all these sidemen again: chuck, bernard, lisa, charlie chaplin, tim, bobby et cetera. Not a pleasant prospect.

Bitch Is it possible that KEITH has arthritis in his fingers? This has been discussed on other RS boards, by the look of his fingers in this possible. Could be why he has been strumming more.

JaggerLips By the majority of posts I have read it sounds that only Mick and Charlie have still got what it takes!

Just wished they'd ditch all the added extras ie:- all the backing people on instruments and vocals so then Keith and Ronnie would have to play it raw!

Surround Sister Hey...

Not all here could have missed the PC: Did Keith not play there??
His peak will be in 2005-06.

Child of the Moon Xyz - That's exactly what I'm saying. It's not like they can't do it anymore. I believe they both have skill - one need look no further than their last couple of studio records or some of the better Licks shows to see that. But yes, they are both old men whose recklessness is finally catching up with them, and yes, as touring progresses, one's ability to play consistently great guitar night after night begins to wane.

When I first got into the stones, I bought the live Bridges to Babylon DVD. I thought it was absolutely tremendous. However, I couldnt hear anything that Ronnie was playing. Except for a few notes on Miss you and Out of controll I really struggled to hear him.
I bought live at the max on DVD and again I couldnt hear what Ronnie was playing. Now I know that live at the max isnt the greatest DVD, but I still couldnt hear him.
I must say i was rather shocked when i read this. am i the only one who hears Ronnie ? now it may be some time ago i watched the bridges to babylon dvd but live at the max i know almost by heart... and i can safely say he's heard on every song, and i dont mean just the solos but the fills as well... listen to YCAGWYW or tumblin dice and happy for that matter... is it cause im a guitarist or cause im in to ronnie and i know his style? i dont know but you can hear him alright. personally i think that show is kicking ass and ronnie's kicking ass to!!!
