speedfreakjive i asked this very question in the autumn of last year i think and since checking out most of the RO community's recommendations i conclude that these are the best bootlegs;
- Ladies & Gentleman , 72' & DVD
- Handsome Girls
- Brussels Affair
- Hampton 81'DVD
- Four Flicks Theatre Show DVD
- Burning at the Garden,MSG, 72'
- So Much Younger Than Today - 66'
- Perth 73'

not really a bootleg, but a must have
- Cocksucker Blues - DVD

gimmekeef For me the most amazing moment ever captured on a boot..is the very beginning of Satisfaction on MSGIII Remastered. You can literally hear Keith slide down the strings just a nano second before he hits the famous intro riff....I was there that night 5th row and its my most treasured Stones moment...Well Top 50 anyway!
16th May 2006 04:51 PM
MemoFromTinaTurner Another one I like is "Rocks Off", 1973.

I consider it a boot, however, it does have an official release aspect since it can only be shown publicly with the director in attendance!

is that cos of its content by any chance?
16th May 2006 05:07 PM
speedfreakjive CS Blues should be re-released to multiplexes across the globe! Is the content offending today? not any more than Pulp Fiction. Stones Inc would make a mint out of it! Just think of it as a Beatles Anthology concept - the parting shot to their legacy. Give it 5 years, i bet you!

MemoFromTinaTurner I've been looking for the "Cocksucker Blues" DVD for years but no luck. I've never found it anywhere, which is a shame because I've heard it's really good.

I'd say the quality was the reason The Stones didn't want it out. It's not really that good, it has some moments, but as far as a film, not very good outside of us diehards loving it.

either go to the Bit Torrent thread, it might be on there; that is assuming you know how to do the whole Bit Torrent thing, or email Gazza perhaps (administrator). Either way you will eventually find someone with the DVD to burn and post out to you; keep posting!!
if you live in the UK, i will trade you mine if you like

This thread will bring people with the DVD to trade or copy

MemoFromTinaTurner Thanks speed but I'm not from the UK. I'm from Barcelona (Spain). I have a VHS copy of the Stones live in Paris, 1976. If anyone wants to trade that for a "Cocksucker Blues" DVD, send me a pm.

16th May 2006 05:37 PM
lotsajizz the limitation of Cocksucker Blues is as a result of the Stones' legal pressure and a compromise reached with the director Frank's lawyers

texile any of the some girls sessions - and if you can find a complete version, that would be gold.
other than that,
all of the australian 73 shows, STP, and any decent live 72 recording....

MarkP Ft. Worth Express, June 24, 1972 second show.

1 show, 1 disc. The Stones peak, IMO. This is the disc I play for people when they ask why I collect shows, or if they are not familiar with the big deal around Mick Taylor era Stones.
