and I'm a huge fan of those over the top cocky rants Steve Marriott would do. Jon Spencer's taken those style rants to a whole new obnoxious level. Its entertainment baby!
yeah and my boy Chris Robinson when he's peeved off can go on some snarling obnoxious rants. Love it!
oh.. .and Jagger on those 78 SNL clips. Sneering, obnoxious cock-rock at its finest right there!

I like some of their songs but Hall & Oates...when I see them I just hate them so much! The little one and his booties and those little sideway kicks he does. And the blond one with his obnoxious mannerisms. Everytime he ends a song he has to go 'ooh aah' for 5 minutes; he wants to make believe that he has that black soul.
And I can not bear looking at Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters. He has that wad of chewing gum in his mouth. Hendrix and Lennon had a way of making it cool, but Grohl packs this big drippy oversized slab and he is constantly munching on it. It's so gross and dumb looking. Plus he screams all the time thinking he is singing rock. There is a quiet album of acoustic stuff by them where he sings really well. Don't know why he thinks that screaming is the right thing to do. |
