i don't think so, at least while they have customers

Break The Spell I have bad luck with my sunglasses getting sat on and smashed, so a $300 investment on my part wouldn't be a good idea.

I can only use prescription sun glasses, thus mine are very expensive. But these are pretty hideous and would not get my money even if I could wear them. I would be mocked to no end if I went golfing or boating in these things!
18th April 2006 03:54 PM
gimmekeef I just couldnt decide on the hideous green or awful red...so I too passed....
18th April 2006 03:56 PM
Saint Sway what makes these cost $300???

is it the bright pink and lime green dayglo/florescent rims? Or the tacky case?

but maybe if I start using ADDA and begin cashing in food stamps...

Honky Tonk Man They're Aviator sunglasses. I think they are fairly pricey anyway.
18th April 2006 04:40 PM
gimmekeef Yes..they are likely $100 without the lips!

In Illinois, they no longer use food stamps...it is called a "Link Card" There was recently a scandal where small grocery stores were "selling" ghost food items and in essence cashing in the Link funds for 50 cents to the dollar. It turned out that these small corner grocery stores (primary sales of liquor and tobacco) were showing millions in sales on their IRS forms....they are now being shut down and incarcerated by the authorities.

VoodooChileInWOnderl What is pathetic is the fact that the news comes with the title "Hats Off to the Fans from the Stones"

Lol! They are pretty ugly for the price. You think they would be more stylish.
18th April 2006 10:58 PM
deuce I'm afraid I'd get my ass kicked if I wore those
18th April 2006 11:15 PM
Steel Wheels Those glasses were 30.00 bucks about 2 days ago - someone screwed up while updating the webpage.
18th April 2006 11:17 PM
M.O.W.A.T. I'll buy a pair when I see Mick wearing these things on-stage!

Yes, how did you get my photo so big?

Gazza whats even more sobering is that those glasses are about the same price as what I paid for my return flight from Dublin to NYC to see the Stones in January.

As well as being pricier than even most Stones concert tickets on this tour.

But hey, the "tongue" is on them so thats OK. It honestly wouldnt surprise me if before this tour is out they started selling their own turds on rs.com - complete with the obligatory tongue on the side for the most fetishist fan, a signed certificate of authenticity and at a price (shall we say $750?) to make it seem like a bargain for the fan who has to have everything.

I can think of someone else who would wear them in a heartbeat and without a modicum of shame, either....

He was actually the designer. The high price goes to fund his expensive synths and keyboards that help dorwn out the guitars on stage. He is a synthesizer wizard ya know.
